Thought I was long gone this year, just like my beloved Friars. Still say "cancel the season". The year that wasn't.
Just take a look at the Patriot League ... Arugably the best team in the league, Colgate, has played 8 games with only 2 more scheduled. American and Loyola have played 4 and 5 games respectively. And the Ivy League didn't play at all.
Speaking of the Patriot League, a local kid from Colgate is doing very well (he'd be getting playing time with us). Keegan Records, a 6'10", 245 lb tree from S. Kingstown, RI, went to SKHS (averaged 17 & 15) and then a year of prep at St. Andrews. With only 8 games as a soph this year at Colgate, he's averaged 9.4 points (.723 %) and 8.4 rebounds while playing basically half a game (at 7-1, Colgate is killing their opposition). Very coachable, he'd look good in the Black and White!

Yeah, I think I noticed him when his hometown was mentioned when we had Colgate @ BU in Round 12. Game was on CBSsn.
My wife is retiring at the end of the month, so we've been snooping around houses in North Worcester County, near Mt. Wachusett (our daughter lives and works in Worcester, and I don't care to be paying Barrington taxes on fixed incomes for the rest of our lives, even though the house is paid for), but I wonder, 'What would I do for college basketball?'. Holy Cross (Patriot League) might be tough to settle for. A somewhat further drive and a better choice might be UMass (A-10). I'd certainly try them both. I've been to a Providence @ UMass game. Certainly more life there than I found at a Boston College game. More likely, I'd end up driving to Providence, especially for day games.

I had lunch at Wachusett CC on Monday. Great clubhouse, with 3 TrackMan setups.

Ed can’t coach up Too 50-60 talent.
