Much more densely populated area there than here, so I can understand the extra precautions. But that’s pretty extreme. We had groups go to courses in Illinois we play on a regular basis every year with no problems. But it wasn’t as bad during the summer here like it is now.
Played Exeter a lot in the 70’s during my high school years. Always loved playing there.

friarfaninindiana -
Truth be known, DEX grabs so many of the available Tee-Times, that there are few available openings for other interested golfers in South County

Since my stepdad was a golfer, thought I would post this here as it’s possible some on here mayhave known him. He was a great amateur golfer back in the 60’s winning the state amateur in 1968.
Phil Jones passed away early this morning after battling COVID for 12 days. After winning the amateur in 68, Phil turned pro a year later and worked as head pro at Pond View in Westerly for many years before taking the pro job at Shennecosett in Groton. After retiring he worked as a starter for years at Elmridge in Pawcatuck for his son, Tom.
Phil married my Mom when I was 10 and he taught me the game of golf. Since my real dad was a drunk, I got very close to Phil and he was like a father to me. He had been in a nursing home the last 3 months only because his knees were shot and my Mom,who is legally blind could not care for him any more. His health was actually very good until the virus got him. He will be sadly missed.

Awful news. Sorry about your loss, friarfaninindiana.
I didn't have the pleasure of meeting/knowing your step-father, but understand he was a very nice man. RIP

Cooley is quite good as well (about half my handicap). He must play with Hassett occasionally, at Warwick CC. Attachment Deleted

Ed has been a member at Wannamoisett courtesy of PC.
Ghin would like multiple memberships playing all under the same ghin number but Ed joined Warwick and picked up a second ghin number. His son Isaiah plays out of Warwick. Most of Ed's rounds posted at Warwick are Wanny rounds.
It's great that Ed plays with his son.
Having played with Ed a few years ago, he has really improved his game. I'm sure he's played with Hassett often.

OK. Yeah, I see the Wannamoisett "Ed Cooley". Those scores are 6/2018 and older, so this makes sense.

Hangin' in my post-elbow surgery rehab space (aka my garage) with my new lob wedge. I'm not allowed to attempt full swings until March, assuming all goes well. It sure feels good, but I don't want to tempt fate. www.facebook.com/544422995/videos/10159162922227996

Weather breaking here and will be in the 60’s all week. Paid for my season pass yesterday, $750. And that’s for both City courses. Think my membership at Winnapaug in Westerly 30 years ago was $1400! That’s one thing I don’t miss is the high golf prices and crowded golf courses back east. We got a casino going in next year right down the road from me. Gambling and golf, I’m all set.

mid 50s here tomorrow, so that will be my first day out since an elbow injury in mid-November, followed by surgery Dec 1. Just 9 holes on a Par 3 for starters. I've been building up to this and want to start on a reasonably warm day (ruptured distal bicep tendon, so best not to make my first attempt on a cold day). 7 weeks until my primary league starts.

True but don’t dismiss the fact that Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and the area golf courses are complemented by beaches and Westerly’s renowned Coffee Trail
