Maybe a reach, but I think this could be good news for Dunn. Depending on how things shake out this offseason, he could very well be looking for a new home. Combined with Stevens' friendship with Cooley and Lawson's admiration for Dunn - whenever she called Wizards-Bulls games, she would constantly talk about playing against him when he was in HS - he could find the Celtics to be a friendly face who could give him a final chance.

Until Dunn develops a 3 point shot he’ll be nothing more than a backup to the backup PG.
To be a successful NBA player you have to have one incredible skill to make a difference. Shooting, rebounding, passing, defense, shot blocking. What is KD’s one undeniable skill?
He’ll never be a good fit for the Celtics. All of Brad Stevens point guards all have one thing in common - shooting. Just look at their recent draft. Carsen and Waters are excellent shooters.
As great as KD was for the Friars. Unless he becomes Rondo 2.0 he will always struggle to find his place in today’s NBA.

My niece is at the Brooklyn/Chicago game right now. Just texted me and told me Dunn left with injury in first minutes of game.

As far as injuries go, it’s better than landing on your grill piece after a failed dunk. Think he will be ok.
