I think Dickens would call this guy the Minister of Circumlocution.

I thought we were moved to play in game last year because URI won tourney so couldn't be in play in game. We were ahead of URI last year on the curve.

Seth Davis @sethdavishoops
As I go through this bracket I wish I had given more time and thought to going with Providence over UNC. If that game happens, the Friars are gonna try to make it a rock fight, and they've got the PG in Kyron Cartwright to pull it off.

One game at a time of course, but can't help but react to Seth Davis. He's providing a soft projection that Providence could find its way to the Sweet 16. How nice it would be to make it to the second weekend of play.

Oddly perhaps, find myself more concerned getting past Texas A&M - as in if we do then Carolina could just find themselves up against it, Charlotte or not...
Dadgum wouldn't it be fun to take down the tarheels and send them back to "class".
But first, we need to make more than a few shots.

TBS actually still showcases those cheaters like nothing even happened. The whole live audience section was all decked out in UNC gear. They had one section all set up and planned....like come on....at least honor a team that does it the right way (or hasn't been caught cheating numerous times) I'm thinking it's just as much about Kenny Smith as it is Jordan.

Well, PC fans better get out and purchase some Friar gear. I'm talking Gatorade towels that they can tuck into the back of their pants, in support of our great coach and the team he leads. Wear your half skirts with pride - all the way to the Sweet 16. Kyron returns to LA to perform in front of his homies!

We should try to make a pact with Creighton fans. Go over to their board and tell them look you guys scream and cheer for us and we will return the favor for the 1st two rounds. Combined maybe we can total 10-15k fans because we all know there will be at least 15k of UNC fans in the building.

I think the fact that our last two games were against two of the top teams in the nation in what were nip & tuck OT wars will prove to be very beneficial. I feel a run coming this year....mainly because of what I saw in NY last week.

I think the fact that our last two games were against two of the top teams in the nation in what were nip & tuck OT wars will prove to be very beneficial. I feel a run coming this year....mainly because of what I saw in NY last week. That's because our inconsistent, sputtering team had most of its pistons aligned in the up position at the same time. (Most, meaning Jackson had zero offense in the X game and then Lindsey was infected vs Nova, etc) Is anyone else reminded of the '97 Croshere, Thomas, Shammgod team? A good, but not overwhelming 21-11 record going into the dance. Earned a 10th seed. Similar, wouldn't you agree? The main difference is that team underachieved then finally played up to its potential. This year's team has been largely snake-bitten before finally shaking free and overachieving IMHO.

Other difference is '97 team had 4 starters who would eventually touch an NBA floor, and the one who didn't was Flight Brown.

Please don't compare these guys to 97. They had the perfect starting 5. Only diallo gets major minutes on that team. Cartwright would take Corey minutes. That's it. That team had the best player in the league(I don't give a crap who won poy), another first teamer in Jamel, shamgod would've been first team. The other two would play 40mpg for us. Garces probably had more rebounds in the ncaas than Watson/young in the BE regular season combined.
