Can someone explain the out of bounds call late in regulation? It may or may not have touched Jackson’s ring finger (thank you announcer for saying it 700 times)...but the ball was still airborne and the creighton player went after it, toe on the baseline and knocked the ball to the ground out of bounds. Isn’t that case closed off him? Explain to me why its not. Ps: even without that, replay was inconclusive and orig call should have stood. Bad. I struggled with this, as well. I couldn't understand why it was never pointed out. In other news, the Friars played hard and scrappy to claw out the win, likely insuring their NCAA bid. Did they play well? 5-22 from 3 and 19-31 from the line. I think that answers that question, though the 16 offensive rebounds bear mentioning. The team effort was apparent. I've been waiting for the Friars to become a good team all year. There's been flashes. PC certainly plays hard, is well coached, and is a plus team defensively. But it just hasn't come all together, especially on offense. They're a solid group, but likely, that is all. Of course, that won't stop me from hoping they catch lightning in a bottle once the Tourney begins.

Mr. ring finger announcer outdid himself on the final providence possession. Jackson at the line, misses first free throw. PC is up 3 with .5 second left. He says Jackson should purposely miss the second free throw. I guess so if Creighton throws in a Prayer we go to double OT? Good call..... What a moron.

Doubt we win tonight but who knows?
IF our flawed team can disrupt Xavier's game like we did to BOTH X and Nova at the Dunk then such an outcome is possible.
Think this is our improbable path; these guys are not suddenly going to find an offense - has only happened once or twice all season...could happen but expect a grind.
MUCH has to break our way here - many more things than one or two adjustments, etc.
Meanwhile we better hope that Cartwight is not hobbling today.
Keep in mind we also have to be both physically and emotionally tired from that rock fight yesterday.
But we are alive and "in the game" so play on...
Ironically, this helter-skelter defensive barrage has worked against more talented and deeper teams in the BEAST except one...the HALL.
AND they lost last night.

So Butler came from behind to beat the Hall. Did not watch the whole game but Hall was up when turned off.
If you think PC should have been better with their experience, what are the Hall fans thinking with probably more talented seniors on that team.

Cooley lives and dies with his seniors...yet the all-time Big East leader in rebounds was on the bench for Seton Hall at the end of the game.

One aspect I have noticed in the two wins vs Creighton and the w's vs X and Nova is our quick, determined, intense and focused passing. Yesterday was the worst example of the four games, as we were also sloppy, something we cannot afford against Xavier.

I guess it was an offensive/defensive switch but I am not sure why. Wideman was in the game so it wasn't like Delgado had to cover a stretch 5. Allowed Wideman to score winning basket on the put-back. I also thought it was odd that Sanogo was outstanding the first half and it seemed like he got limited minutes in 2nd half. Tough for Hall that Rodriquez is still limited.
