absolutely impossible job up there in Orono. Hope he can land somewhere where he actually has a chance to succeed

Sadly, those are some lopsided numbers on his resume...

I think simon was only in for the season.
Didn't walsh have a decent player transfer after his freshman year? absolute coach killer at a school like that.

From that blog he used to write it sounded like he was a good X/O coach.
We totally need one of those.

Didn't walsh have a decent player transfer after his freshman year? absolute coach killer at a school like that. Correct. Two years ago he lost Isaac Vann his leading scorer to VCU, and the next year he lost his leading scorer again (Wesley Myers) to South Carolina. He could spot the diamonds in the ruff, but just couldn't keep them.

Yeah I mean his best player left two years in a row tough to improve when you're at a school that serves as a minor league spring board for high majors

this reads as if he wanted out. Know a d3 coach who pulled his name out b/c it was a chitty gig. Walsh has those two guys for 3 years and he's probably got a chance to win the league and get a real job. Can't blame the kids since you only take that job as a coach or player to move on.

Sadly, those are some lopsided numbers on his resume... He might need a year or two somewhere else just so he can distance himself from those results. BTW ex-Friar staffers have done well in the JUCO ranks. Lord knows we could use another farm team.

Posted over at the recruiting board with comments there also:
@goodmanespn Maine senior guard Aaron Calixte told ESPN he will transfer. Eligible next season. Averaged 17 points per game this year.

goblackbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3801I doubt team will be taking any Grd/xf unless several current G's, were to leave? This kid is from nearby Stoughton,Ma and shoots a decent 3 and hits his FT. Stocky 5'11,if he has an ok handle he should interest some programs.

Maine hired their Women's coach to take over for Walsh.
