8 is plenty in college hoops. And white played well against Xavier and a good first half against sju but look as his log, it ain't great. Yeah his log doesn't look good because he wasn't 100% Walk He was a sophomore who was turning the corner right before that injury after missing 6 weeks it took some time to get to that corner again........which I think he's back to If he didn't get hurt he would be around that corner by now and performing with consistency

right before the injury be basically warmed the bench against uri...and bc 2 games before....and his 10th game back he was garbage against gtown.
I like the kid and wish he'd play more (at times) but he's not a difference maker to what's happened to pc this year. reality is mal was expected to play more...

“what do u n think? Honest question”
“I don't think they award by position”
Just pointing out Kyron got more votes than anyone but Brunson and Ponds. Brunson’s way better, Ponds slightly. Who else did the voters prefer?

Prof Nutty has some good points here....injuries do matter and we tend to measure this senior class against the greats in Springfield but in reality, if healthy, they only had to be as good as the other bum teams in the league of which 8 are pretty average or below. Walk you are a little too quick to dismiss the Nut on this one notwithstanding your excellent Marquette example.
As an aside, I would have to give Jax a strong vote of confidence for the worst singular game performance of any Friar this past Saturday against St John's. It literally took my breath away.

MAL was expected to play more within this hood because of his ranking and hype. I was personally hoping to see Maliek White use his talent and experience and become a contributor, and that he did until his injury.
As Nut pointed out, logically speaking, "depth" helped PC overcome the frequnt DNPs (between injury and the flu epidemic). The problem was, MAL wasn't ready, Dickens red-shirted, Drew never really got better, and Nate Watson was another freshman in need of more work than expected.
I would say the quality of the depth did not meet expectations within our little community.

To be fair to this hood, most if not all of the PGs ranked right around MAL contributed this year, some of them very significantly.

He got hurt in the brown game. Was playing well that game and decent minutes. I believe Cartwright was hurt. In the four games prior(pre injury) he had 3, 3, 6, 3 points and played under 10min in two if those games.

He basically contributed the same as MAL and drew pre injury.

And dex Jax had a similar stretch of games earlier this year. He can be horrendously bad when dribbling into traffic.

OMG so spot-on Walk...he melted that 14 pt lead to 3 before Cooley finally yanked his arse with a gentle merciful hand slap
my section followed my lead screaming at our great coach to "get him outta there" which eventually happened albeit too late
Regrettably I must also report that he's contracted the dropsy malady that has plagued Rodney when trying to catch a pass
I commend that he boldly tries to make plays and on rare occasions actually does make them but he's wildly inconsistent offensively
he's better defensively and can get some tough rebounds while playing against a brute on the other team...we really have very little flexibility off the bench so he has to play and you just hope he's ON that day
As an aside, the award for the most snakebit has to go to Drew Edwards. I don't criticize him at all....I just feel pity as time and again he just can't buy a basket. He must be so frustrated. I really thought he could be a valuable contributor in short stints this season but alas it has not yet happened.

Who else did the voters prefer? So you think KC is one of the top 3 PG's in Big East?? I think maybe so but it's very debatable. I think one can make an argument for Baldwin and Carrington over KC.
