Although this site isn't as bad as other PC forums, the negativity that gets directed towards the players and coach is incredible. These are 20 year old kids (Bullock excepted) that are busting their tails to win against professional caliber talent. For many of these kids, they are many hours from home and don't have the support system that many of us take for granted. I am sure our grumblings make it to their ears. They devote a substantial amount of their waking hours towards the game, between practices, conditioning, etc. that could be spent playing video games like so many other college students. Yes, they can be frustrating and we can be disappointed with their performances and results, however, we need to keep in mind that this is still just college basketball and that the outcome of these games doesn't impact our lives in any important way. On Saturday, lets go out and support the seniors and the team. Show them that we appreciate their efforts these last 4 years and let them know they are part of the PC family, now and forever.

Thanks for trying to temper things.
Let's not forget how successful [making the NCAAs] the last four years [hopefully this year will be also] have been.
How soon people forget Keno's failures and even Welsh's .
No---this team, players and staff are not perfect. But----they try to do things the right way on and off the court and have provided Friartown with overall better on court success than Friars had seen in decades.
Even better---the future is bright [quality recruits, Ruane Center, a Coach who wants to be here a ling time, etc.].

Busting their tails? Up against professional talent? Try again. There have been too many no shows to say thy are busting their tails. Was umass professional talent or depaul? Lets not get carried away when this has been a season where no one team has separated themselves from the pack.
