Xavier isn't even playing well. Blowing an opportunity.
10 turnovers, 10 fouls, X 11 offensive boards

Good close to the half. MAL, White and Cartwright keeping it close.
Starters have 13 points... bench 24

Bullock and Lindsey didn't show up. Young and Watson defended no one. Bench gave us more than enough to win. Better get 2 more.

Watson at least scored on offense, Young should’ve been wearing an X jersey tonight given all his turnovers and other brainless plays.

Watson is a very good offensive player. His defense is atrocious.
I have been told on this board, that Young is serviceable.
While he may be next season, he ain't now. Props to him on making honor roll last semester though.
A serviceable big, gives a win tonight. How many layups did our bigs get tonight? How many did they prevent?
With all the turnovers, missed 3's, starters not showing and fouls, we still win with a Big who can rebound, dunk and hit layups. That's how X won.

I really thought Cooley should have went with Watson to open the 2nd half. He gave us something offensively and managed to block a couple of shots. He just needs to rebound.
This was a really good opportunity to earn a bid and we let it slip away. Bullock and Lindsey were pretty much invisible. Diallo didn't have one of his best games either with his questionable shot selection and turnovers. We can't have bad games from all 3 of them and expect to win.
It was nice to see MAL have a good game. Hopefully this gives him some confidence going forward.

I saw first half and what jumped out to me was Bullocks poor play. One play inparticuar he's guarding his man air tight about 40 feet from basket. Player ball fakes and Bullock bites and then gets blown by as Xavier player goes all the way in for lay-up. Young is a bull in a China shop on offense. Kid has more line drives than Aaron Judge.

Cartwright would have had 2 more assists if Young was ready for the ball. Instead, turnovers. Like the Judge analogy. No touch around the basket.

MAL was fine in the first half but he struggles to make the good pass that leads to an easy hoop. Really surprised at that.

At one point last night, we were playing a No. 1 seed on the road with 2 freshmen and 2 sophomores on the floor. I liked that look better than our starting 5.
