In today's blog, KFar speaks about Rodney playing some of his best basketball, when he's back in the DC/VA area. Coincidence? Additionally, Watson (and to a lesser degree, White) had one of his better stretches playing near home. Coincidence? I think not, and I'm guessing that a few of you might agree with me. Being back "home" can bring the most out of players, who seem to exhibit a heightened focus and drive in front of family and friends. Sometimes, that can backfire (as was the case with LaDontae, who had two of his worst games playing with his mother in attendance during the final stretch of his final campaign), but more often than not, players have some of their better performances. Great when it happens, but why not bottle that focus and determination, and bring it to every game? That level of consistency can help to separate the starters from the reserves, the winners from the losers, and the pros from the college players. Ed ought to show Rodney and Watson their highlights, and ask them to play like that every remaining game this season. friarbasketball.com/2018/02/25/look-eight-straight-vs-georgetown/
