This is the first time I can remember that RI institutions are corruption free. Rejoice! Cuttino Mobley was on the list put out last week.

Maybe a closer step for Dan HURLEY to leave for Seton Hall job sooner than we all think
If Willard has a tuff time he maybe asked to leave and Hurley will drive down the road and become a BE coach

Dan may have a better and warmer choice at Arizona. With his brother at Arizona State I don't think Miller survives this mess.

Miller may not survive today...I think he and his tainted player have to be, at least, suspended...

Is the recruitment of whitehead dirty bc his hs coach was hired? Prominent hs program similar to thomas No I think the rumor was that money changed hands and that Tiny wouldn't steer Whitehead there unless he was hired. Nothing wrong with a high school coach getting hired to a college job. It happens all the time. Most coaches started coaching in high school or middle school to get their start.

Miller still collects almost 10MM even if fired for cause. Nice contract.

Brutus is spot on with his comment re Jay In The Tank Bilas. What a disgrace he and co-conspirators espn and acc truly are in hurting the game with their head-in-the-sand routine.
Meanwhile anyone past the age of majority that gets their news from Yahoo and buys it hook, line and sinker is naive. I prefer to see evidence instead of sensationalism by rotten no good bastage so called "journalists"...and the same goes for the credibility of the DA chan in nyc, the FBI and the DOJ. Show me the evidence and ultimately the convictions. Plus when the ncaa rats prevent guilty coaches from taking jobs at another member institution, I will pay attention.
golocalprov has the MEGA scandal that now touches the State Of RI: friggin laughable
RI’s Murphy Listed Among Over 50 Players Named in FBI’s College Basketball Probe
Saturday, February 24, 2018
GoLocalProv News Team
Erik Murphy South Kingstown’s Erik Murphy is one of more than 50 current and former college basketball players named as part of an FBI probe into the corruption in college basketball.
The FBI documents obtained by Yahoo Sports lists players from more than 20 Division I basketball programs who have been identified as potentially breaking NCAA rules by receiving benefits. See the List of Players in the Slideshow Below
According to the documents, Murphy accepted a $260 loan from ASM Sports while playing at the University of Florida.
ASM Sports is the agency he signed with before being drafted by the NBA’s Chicago Bulls in 2013.
In a tweet, Murphy said he accepted the money “from my agent during pre-draft workouts post graduation from UF”
He currently plays overseas in Finland.
Local schools such as Providence, University of Rhode Island, Bryant and Brown are not listed in the report.

This is a little different than I was expecting and appears to be an agent reaching kids. I heard on the dc are radio that the allegation with Virginia is for $64 and could be this guy dawkins just trying to get reimbursed without a meeting taking place. That's what I'm thinking as well. It's going to be tough to prove guilt on the schools if it's agent's who have no ties to the schools.
