White can get diallos foul trouble minutes...which there are plenty. Love that kids effort but will foul you anywhere and anytime....plus he's due for a T. Guessing Friday night at MSG.

White doesn't look comfortable with the ball. There was that steal at half court and while the layup was impressive, it was pretty damn lucky. I'm in th Edwards camp right now. Kyron can't go like cotton did. He's probably a 30mpg guy. Johnson said he looked winded when he went to the line late. But he only played 24 minutes although he was being pressured the last 4 minutes. Maybe he still has the after-effect from the flu.

Speaking of fouls how many stupid and ones did we give up tonight? Let the guy go for F sakes, the damage is done. Don't make it worse.

Don't forget KC has been battling flu like symptoms seems like off and on the past few weeks. If that is the case, he is going get gassed easily. He was completely gassed the last 2 minutes last night. I applaud his grit and effort, along with all the upper classmen last night..
....gotta love friartown...

One of Cooley's best coaching performances ever - if not the best.
Stats lie sometimes - they sure did last night.
We defended the three point line relentlessly so the "tough twos" strategy worked very well.
Have to think Bullock's unexpected explosive bursts might have been because Nova figured he was lost so he was open.
Again, screw the stats, White and Edwards, in and out, was brilliant and caught Novans "off-guard".
Novans mugging us as this wound down showed their utter frustration - foul when Cartwright was wiggling on the floor deep in Nova land was telling.
Aside from injuries and mysterious "flu bugs", let alone our lackadaisical softness, what we saw last night, (and also as against Xavier), is the team many hoped to see this year...
If we had done so, (see above), we would have 20 W's if not 21 at this point...oh well.
Must say Young is trying, working very hard, bringing true grit and fight to the floor.
Even though Jackson had some tough moments down the stretch, we do not win last night without him.
And OK, it is the same with Lindsey who guarded EVERY Novan as various times - and so did Diallo, emerging as a true glue guy with talent.
Jeff Battle did the game scouting and strategy planning for this - think he did same pre-Xavier game.
The post-game Rooke/Hassett game analysis on radio is a MUST listen post TV - easily available on WEEI APP - what they pointed out was beyond revealing - Nova got within 1 point, (think late 1st half), yet never got closer than 3 points rest of the game.
---
OK, our frustration is real, this trick or treat team is ridiculously annoying BUT please stop the cursing in your posts - it is a pain in my a$$ and as dex points out I do need my sleep...

Have to think Bullock's unexpected explosive bursts might have been because Nova figured he was lost so he was open. I still can't get over that. Just watched the highlights again. It's the most explosive I've ever seen him. No idea why we don't see that more often.

It's the most explosive I've ever seen him. No idea why we don't see that more often. I think the issue may be that the faster Bullock plays, the more likely he is to make mistakes -- lost dribble, fumbled pass, etc. As a fan, he's been one of the more frustrating players to root for these past years. At times, when he's good, I'm like, "Now, THAT'S a player!" ... then, at other times, he's a complete non-factor and looks like he's moving in slow motion. PC should really consider having an espresso machine on the sideline. I always know "we" have a shot to beat anyone ... at home. This year is no different. The team plays with more energy, "fight", and focus. Perhaps we'll see that version of this team at MSG and in the NCAA Tourney, if the opportunity occurs. For the Nova game, I thought we'd have a puncher's chance if everything broke right -- great 3-point shooting, near-perfect FT %, many transition opportunities, and foul trouble for VU. That said, a lot didn't go right for the Friars, including a crazy number of "And 1's". Nova may not have shot well from 3, but that had a bunch the old-fashioned way. Anyway, obviously, this was a huge win for the Friars. It's a season-saver -- for now. But the Friars have to keep winning, and it won't be easy. Georgetown (road) and St. John's (home) don't suck anymore, Xavier and Butler are games played on the road (where, again, PC is a different team), and Seton Hall seems to be a tough match up.

KC gets gassed easily? Wow. Ok. Whatever.
By the way, I’ve been going to PC games since 1978 and last night easily was the finest, most sustained, and raucous performance by the student section that I have ever seen in the Dunk.
It was an absolute joy to be there last night.

Could just be a post-flu burst of energy. I just went through this. You get a "it's good to be alive" feeling and get very productive. I had that on Tuesday, but then Wednesday I was exhausted and slept much of the day. He's probably sleeping now...
