Wait a minute - the praise for cooleys eye for talent and player development is over the top. Reality is he's had hits and misses like everyone else. What he hasn't done is brought in that under the radar all league player. I guess Cartwright nay get there but he's so damn inconsistent. the disappointment with this group is the apparent lack of improvement from our seniors.

Correct Walk. Too many misses on the non top 100 types. I hope Nichols and Monroe buck that trend.
I think Nichols will be a player in time. I hope he gets a year behind Holt.

A game like this shows why you can't miss on a big recruiting class like Ed did with Edwards, Q, Council and Frazekas. A partial miss would have given us a couple of playable juniors, a total miss gives us games like today, Houston, and UMASS. We have bodies for depth, just no quality depth. Yeah if that is/was the whole class you make an excellent point. The staff needs to scout players better or develop a better eye for talent. Right now their hit rate is pretty bad. Hopefully a couple of next years kids will be ready for this level. The miss, if there is one, was hiring Andre. The "miss" class was when the coaching staff was in flux. Current staff is doing very well IMO. Now Coach hired Andre so he owns that. We had players leave so the current junior class was thrown together late....Q was a prayer very late add.

Walk do you think Jalen should have played even though he displayed dizziness symptoms?

I do not....surprised he would get a concussion on the elbow...although reported in the other hood it was earlier in the game. But healthy jalen doesn't win us that game. I can't make that leap.

What about consensus all American Emmitt Holt making us a top 10 team if not for his illness?

Considering emitt is the best college power forward since Elvis Hayes, it's perfectly reasonable to assume we'd be undefeated if he were healthy.

Not sure if the elbow to the lip began with an impact to the jaw or not (?) When the jaw in impacted from a hit from any side or underneath there is a transfer of energy through the temporomandibular joint to the base of the skull. Not only is there impact energy transferred to the brain but also rotational forces create acceleration of the brain within the skull to create concussion

Thanks ‘82 but please understand that Unless Doc Draif confirms that scientific explanation; it’s just supposition to me.
So you fibbed last night in saying you stayed at the Hilton when it really was the Holiday Inn

That would be the Holiday Inn Express I'll tell you what, Dex - It would have been far more productive a late afternoon, had I simply stayed at VIG and continued to consume adult beverages.

Boxers are trained to catch guys on the chin. I caught a bad headbutt once right on my mouth/chin. Had Deja-cu for like 2 days(a concussuon)
