Coach Cooley mentioned tonight that the friars would be going back this year in August. I believe they can get a few practices in before the trip according to ncaa rules. Should be a great cultural and bonding time for the team and seeing different combinations with the new players. He raved about the food there and it sure looks like Holt can use a few more pounds.

Rhody made a trip to the Bahamas last summer. Hurley said there are many benefits of playing on a summer foreign tour. It allows you to experiment in a live-game setting. The experience was invaluable. A great chance to develop players.

I always think these trips are beneficial to get a jump on the season. Are incoming freshman still ineligible for these trips or did that rule change? It would be great to get Duke, Reeves, Nichols and Monroe some run.

I think part of it had something with visas because they were not born in the USA.

Chukwu was a visa issue while Bentil wasn't fully cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse at the time of the trip so he didn't go.
