Both have picked up their games recently. I wish Jalen could put the ball on the floor as good as Jackson. Jackson seems to be the only one who is fairly reliable at the free throw line.

Jackson showed these flashes late last year too. Not sure why he's started slow but good to see he found his confidence and game again because we need him. Alpha has also been more agressive which is great to see.

I'm still waiting for Jackson to take over a game. He has inside and outside skills, having enough quickness to bother big men down low and enough length to shoot over smaller defenders from the three point line. His 15-footer is sweet and he seems to be a heady player. I'm confident that big game is coming but I hope it's this year!

We don't win the last two games without them. The three by Jackson was huge and shows he is a money player. They aren't perfect but they play tough and don't disappear in big moments.

Jackson, Diallo, and Bullock's inability to consistently finish at the rim is maddening, especially when the result ends up being missed FT. But I love the constant effort of Jackson/Alpha, and I dig Bullock's improved post-up game.
I just don't see this team making a splash (winning an NCAA game) unless they bring it every night defensively and manage to generate points off of turnovers. Players like KC, Bullock, and Lindsey have just not been consistent enough offensively. The inevitable 6-minute scoring drought each game is a death punch vs. quality opponents. My hope is that Cartwright gets hot down the stretch, Alpha and Jackson continue to ascend, and we're surprised by contributions from White, Edwards off the bench in a couple of games.
However, I think any game played whereby the Friars aren't the better defensive team on the floor, I see wins being very difficult to secure.

Give credit to Edwards for last night's win as well. After a DNP at Marquette, he came in and played strong D which helped the friars close the gap in both the end of the first half and second half.

The thing I love about both Diallo and Jackson is that they play hard every single second they are in the game on both ends of the floor. I'm very much looking forward to them taking over the leadership of this team.

When they went to the huddle at one point last night, Cooley looked at KC, Jax & Alpha and said if you get it....just go.
Unfortunately, he can't say that to Lindsey or Bullock.

And to think there were games early on that Jackson was a mess.

Jackson and Diallo won that game last night because they stayed aggressive. They find ways to score and are probably our best rebounders right now. Just my opinion but i wasnt crazy about Cartwrights game last night.I thought he was just ok. He was out of control at times and put Kalif in a couple of bad spots that led to turnovers. I give Jyron credit for knocking down free throws with everything on the line. I thought Drew Edwards made some solid plays that turned the momentum defensively and helped us get back in it when we were down 9.
