Too tired to read any of the posts in this thread...but Kalif Young was pretty damn good tonight.
Maybe I will read them tomorrow and then take those to the woodshed that are deserving of a rebuttal.

KMac tweeted pregame that White didn't appear to be moving well. But he was throwing alley-oop lobs to himself for dunks in the warmups. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Buffalo has an rpi of 27 and 7 losses. Are they good?

I don't think anyone would define the keno teams as good....although 71 would occasionally let us know they were around Jan 1st.
So is a bubble team good?

I would qualify a bubble team as a good team as far as college basketball today goes. If you think about it, there are roughly 350 teams playing DI basketball and a bubble team would be in the top 20%.
There are very few very good teams in today's day and age.

While this is true in principle, it is the joke that is college basketball. We can all argue where the line is between D1 and D1-AA but it's not 350. At what number in the 350 are the teams more competitive with D2 programs than D1 programs?

Not sure if people noticed that Alpha started the game with medical tape on his left knee/leg. Taken out early and sitting with the trainer for a bit before he went back him. Must be dealing with some minor injury but he played through it and played great.
Jackson was big but was bad like yankee indicates in his ability to finish. Dex and I figured he missed 4 layups that could have been and 1s.
Friars went 7-7 from FT line to end the game.
GT in the top ten in FT shooting in the country missed 9 tonight, that was big
Ewing will have them back in the top Tier before Mullin will have SJU there, IMHO

Would our team today win 10 games in the old Big East of the late 80's and early 90's? No.

Georgetown will be scary when Ewing gets it going. The thing that impressed me is how hard they play now. Its night and day from where they were last year. If Ewing had Mullins roster would St. Johns be in contention for a NCAA spot?

Jax and diallo have taken over this team.....leaders by example. May not be successful but there is no doubt they're trying to make plays along with Cartwright. Serious question on trent Forbes. Different recruiting track but he came in with big ecpectations. Think he had 27 against zona as a senior. Fine? Matt Alosa fine? Chris Watts fine? In all seriousness, I see absolutely nothing in MALs game that tells me not to worry...unless I'm a BU or UMASS fan...
