Our Washington neutral court win is starting to look damn good. They've beaten Kansas, Arizona State and Arizona. That could pay dividends come selection Sunday
Also, saw David Duke play today at RIC. That kid is going to be special.. looks like he will be a lock-down defender, reminds me a lot of KD3

I think he's going to be better. May not win POY or get drafted in top 10 but that will be bc our team is better.

I'm getting concerned that next year's team lacks a primary ball handler.

Saw Duke as well...shot looks smooth, better than I thought it would. He has the whole package. Dunn probably overall more athletic but KD was a freak.

Does Duke appear to be a legit, 6'5"? That's 2" taller than Kris, although has that long wingspan

Let’s not give up on MAL just yet. I know he only played a few minutes yesterday, but he looked better than he has in a while, and he still has ten plus games and an entire offseason to work on his game, especially his shot.

Can someone define “he will be fine”?
For me to be fine means he is going to make huge jump next year. 10-12 ppg, 2-1 ass/to, 75%FT, etc.
He is now where near that now and has not looked like he could produce at that level either.
...gotta love friartown...

Haven’t given up on MAL yet, I think he can be a good point guard but simply doesn’t look like he’ll be able to score 10 a game. He can handle the ball well but the mechanics of his shot just look poor

Hey mikemc cut the chit
I think Mick said we tend to overrate kids rather than just describe the warts too in referring to Lindsey.
In your case the opposite is true... you critique and then comes the sweeping generalization that MAL will always be a bum. Just Stop It
So glad you weren't the one to decide if we should brizz Cotton after 20 games...so just go eat your Pastrami and let the adults here decide when a kid is a bust. I might go back and read your posts back then about Cotton and expose you, BUT you get a warning for now. Additionally you have been a bad influence on Draif who hasn't had a smile here in ages. Yank? Well we're watching Yank closely and hopefully his balance allows him to come back in from that ledge he's on.
Bottom line...there will be plenty of time for us next year to face plant the kid if he stinks. For the moment, let's at least allow for the possibility, remote as it may be, that the kid did not completely forget how to play when he went two seasons without a loss. I believe it's largely a confidence issue but if he is stinking up the Dunk next year...well let's just say I Ain't Bashful.

Don’t forget that he had a very good game at URI and handled their pressure defense better than Cartwright, though KC was admittedly injured. He’s still a good ball handler and has shown he can penetrate at this level. He’s also shown he can be a good defender, he made a great play yesterday going vertical on a drive by either Howard or Rowsey.
Dunn also struggled as a freshman and at times looked lost and out of control too. If the kid puts in work to improve his shot and regains some confidence, I think we will be in good hands with him. He might not ever be Dunn, but that’s a high bar.

He was ok against uri...he got worked by fats. In fairness to him, it was him and alph playing 2-5 the last 10 min as our seniors (including Lindsey) wanted no part of competing that day.

Hey Dex aka “Mark Spitz” where did I say he was a bust? I’m trying to figure out what “he will be fine” next year means. To date he hasn’t shown “he will be fine” next year. Maybe junior year. For him to be “fine” he needs to make a huge jump in production. The kind of jump Soph’s make to junior year.
Now get back in your silver sneakers swim class!
....gotta love friartown...

Oh Yeah?
LOL
CONGRATULATION. Sir Pastrami
I just added you to the secret list of those fans that think they know more than Big Ed Cooley. I don’t mind questioning strategy etc but when guys say a frost with a decent pedigree will NEVER improve....well that’s a bridge too far.
