Watson flails at the ball. Frustrating as hell.

Stick to the seniors...we have them...shu has them...who you got? Our best player is a soph. Our seniors are soft.

At best, our seniors have been inconsistent which given the successes of the past few years is a big disappointment.
Kyron: Has a tendency to get frustrated with himself/teammates. Composure and leadership is required of our PG - in all instances; Rodney: Nice skillset, if only he had some fire in his belly. Bentil recognized it as a freshman, when he barked out "time to wake up, Rodney" Jalen: Apparently content with himself, he never developed the handle to round out his game. Won't even finish when out ahead on a fast break.
Fragile group, that never overcame their individual weaknesses, in order to lead with consistency. In the home stretch of their final season, I don't sense an iota of desperation that their college careers are coming to a close.
Fortunately, they'll still be able to play Y2K following an NIT appearance. I would bet that they've honed their mastery of the video game during their time on campus.
Again, a bit disappointment.

Overall Coach has done a vey good job with this group. Ed's done a nice job masking the limitations of his rosters over the past 5-years. We've been to 4 straight NCAAs, which has been great. He can lead the proverbial horse to water, but this year's version of the horse isn't ready or wanting to drink the water.

Bullock's quotes pre-game and then the game...what happened on the ride to NJ As Dex says, look to the future.... In looking at the future, I like Diallo. After that we have a lot of questions. 1. Will Watson or Young ever be all-around serviceable bigs? 2. Will MAL develop some PG skills? 3. Will White become a consistent Big East Player? 4. Will Holt return and be effective? 5. What will Dickens offer? 6. Does Jackson play here or elsewhere next year? 7. Will Edwards transfer? At least going into this year we knew what we had with Cartwright, Lindsey, Bullock and Diallo. Flawed as the group is, we knew. Next year we know what we have with Diallo and that's it. So while this team is frustrating, I think we take a step back unless Duke and Reeves are impact guys from day 1.

My guesses:
1. Will Watson or Young ever be all-around serviceable bigs? Yes, I think they will be serviceable. You won’t ever confuse them for Michael Smith on the rebounding side but should be good enough to compete in the league. Watson has a lot of offensive upside and if he develops into an offensive weapon you live with the lack of rebounding and hope Diallo picks up his slack.
2. Will MAL develop some PG skills? I can’t believe I’m saying this but I honestly don’t know. I hope so. This year must be tough on the kid.
3. Will White become a consistent Big East Player? Yes, I believe he will. Perhaps similar to Sheiku Kabba. Combo guard who can give you some minutes at the point, demand some respect from the three point line and hit his free throws (Kabba went from 63% as a freshman to 82% as a senior). I actually think White might be better at attacking the basket.
4. Will Holt return and be effective? I have zero idea about his medical condition other than it was obviously serious. I do hope he can return, for his own sake. If he returns I think he will be effective. Will certainly help with the rebounding question mark.
5. What will Dickens offer? 10 MPG. I’d love to say he will give us what Douthit gave us as a freshman but I think he would have played this year if he was at that level.
6. Does Jackson play here or elsewhere next year? When he was in his early season slump I figured he’d play somewhere else next year. Now that he’s picked it up a bit I think he will stay around. The departure of Lindsey and Bullock will open up a lot of minutes at the 2/3/4.
7. Will Edwards transfer? I think Edwards will play at PC next year and then use the Grad Transfer rule to play his final season somewhere else. If he hadn't already sat out a year I think he'd transfer after this season.

Sign me up for Kabba. I would be very happy with that. 6. If everything works out well. I think Diallo anchors the 3. Jackson backs him up and Holt at the 4. If not, you will see Diallo playing a lot of 2 guard again, with Jackson playing the 3.

Mal better develop as the PG or will be relying on DD who is just learning the ropes himself.... I think Mal having his former Rivals teammates will help.... Can Shamm be hired for summer workouts?

We're going to be good next year....and I have my doubts about holt playing.
Yankee - aren't Lindsey and bullock question marks? Look at Jax stats on a per minute basis next to Lindsey.
I have a ton of confidence in Duke.
Haven't gone through the rosters but the BE seems to be losing a lot next year...
