One of the most consistent themes I see with this team is they are successful when they share the ball. When they average 50% or greater assists to baskets, they are a tough team to beat. Kyron and Alpha seem to be the keys, although Jackson has been good at moving the ball around as well. When they have struggled, the assist numbers have been extremely low. Against Xavier, the numbers were well over 50% and the results reflected it.

At halftime yesterday, we had exactly 3 assists and I believe 8 for the game. That is an unbelievable low number and tells me that the half court offense has deteriorated to where there are few sets being run to get us easy looks. Granted we have had some bad shooting night, but 8 assists is dreadful.

other than jalen, the team is shooting 10% from three over about a 4/5 game stretch. I guess white's hurt but dunking in warmups, the team has the flu (at least Rodney and Watson - but both played in the last 10 min of an ass kicking), and our team leader has a concussion from a play other than the elbow he ran into against Gtown. What some are ignoring are the warts that have been evident in close Ws ("good team" Ws) the entire season.
And so the walk requests his mulligan - three weeks left and senior leadership is needed to get to the dance. Even getting 10 Ws now will require at least one big win from a team that has shown zero road toughness this year. I'm afraid 8Ws is more likely than 11 at this point.

Walk I seriously commend you for wearing your recently acquired Homer designation with zero acrimony and rancor for our team and staff. Just a matter-of-fact common sense assertion that this year's edition is mediocre at best. Your request for a mulligan is granted by me and your kindness of providing our great coach with same is noble.
Your keys to the Dance were valid reasoning but our team isn't cooperating:
1. The Seniors rise to the occasion and carry the team to the promised land.
Result: One is concussed and the other two are playing even worse than before.
2. The fans at The Dunk will rise up as one and stampede our Friars to new heights.
Result: The fans attending the sellout rightly saw fit to Boo the team yesterday
3. Diallo & Jax will rise to the occasion & continue their positive play and their momentum will win 4 us
Result: Diallo's worse game in weeks while Jax hustled with very limited results
Boy Oh Boy Walk did you ever pick the wrong team to get all mushy over for your makeover. I implore you to get back to basics and file your teeth nice and pointy and start locking on to the arse's of those who have failed the Black & White this season.

Starts with breaking guys down off dribble. We need some guards who can do this. Getting good looks at the rim comes from making the extra pass after beating a defender off the bounce. That's where the droughts are coming from.

22 Assists on 28 field goals with only 4 turnovers. When these guys distribute the ball, they are so much tougher to defend. Granted we still don't shoot the ball particularly well, but 22 assists is a great number as is 4 turnovers. I think Watson even got an assist.

Diallo and Cartwright with 18 of those dimes(9 each) If Alpha can start adding that dimension that will be great. His mid range jumper seems to have abandoned him the last few games as well as his english around the rim. Only 5-15 from floor yesterday but still managed 14 & 9 Seems like all of our guys have had some tough bounces/rolls around the rim not go their way the last few games

Pickett is 6'8 and will make the all-rookie team Mulmore is 6'4 FWIW the Hoyas might have one of the better defensive backcourts in the Big East They're #2 in league in FG% defense at 42%

Our guards easily fed the post yesterday and I think that led to the assists. Nova and the Hall make it much harder on guards run the offense.

I think the post was easily fed because Nate was on the floor almost half the game
Nate was on the floor because he matches up well with Govan( a similar player speed/size wise)
Couldn't feed Nate against SHU because you couldn't play him against Delgado(9 mins played) just like he couldn't matchup with Spellman(5 mins played)
What you're trying to say doesn't make much sense. You're trying to say that the little guards SHU employs(Carrington and Powell) were the reason PC couldn't get no assists? Do little guards deny the post better than big one's??? no way
we had more dimes because (1)we shot the ball better(10-19 from 3) and (2) we have a big man that converts at a high rate WHEN ON THE FLOOR
