I wonder what Rodney's high is for shots? Might we see a 30+ game soon? That should put a zip in his step on the offensive end at least.
3 pt percentage not bad tonight, ft% not good (except for big Nate 4/4).

I keep trying to puzzle-out why people expect a Friar team playing without Holt, Cartwright, Diallo and White to be anything different than what we’re seeing right now. It’s odd to me, it really is. My comment wasn't about expectations. It's about the product on the floor, which is dreadful. Is it because of injuries? Ok, I can buy that. But, the point remains the same. The team is dreadful AT THIS POINT.

Is it possible that the three-point shooting percentage was aided by a bunch of Ralph Malphs wearing the road team uniforms?

Yes but there have been plenty of games we have missed open 3's in the last month. Tonight we seemed to hit them more often. I also thought MAL did a better job at the point. I don't think he tried once to drive to the hoop. He had 8 assists and regardless of the opponent he made two excellent post passes to Young for baskets. He also made 2 solid passes that led to missed layups but resulting foul shots. But the key thing was we got though a game w/o having to try out the walking wounded.

Post game J & J mentioned that we are shooting FTs at a 61% clip over the past 5 games if I heard them correctly.
Sonar said that doesn't portend well for conf games in which many will be tight. The assumption is that it improves when the 3 injured guys return.
it better.

without Holt, Cartwright, Diallo and White to be anything different than what we’re seeing right now. It’s odd to me.....brown and rider both led by a soph and frosh.....at umass overcome an average first half and get up 4 at the 10 min mark and forget how to play when seniors should take us home....uri throw the ball to everyone in the building and get dominated by a freshman pg...AND our FTs. So rock, I'd expect to see the injuries hit us hard starting now but that's a pretty weak excuse for some if the crap we've seen on the floor this year.

I’m not to concerned with us being bad...which we are at this point. And I do think a healthy Cartwright and Diallo probabaly gets us moving the right way....albeit slowly. What concerns me is the way in which we’re bad because I worry about it being a chronic problem. Are Watson and Young ever going to be capable BE bigs? Are we ever going to be st least decent on the defensive end? Do we have yet another PG that can’t shoot free throws? Is there a chemistry problem? Are the young guys capable of being Cooley type players?

The game last night is what I would expect vs. the likes of Brown without KC, Diallo, White etc. Shouldn't need OT.

I think that Kalif Young is more of a backup, but I think Nate Watson has the ability to be an impact player and I think he needs more minutes before people get down on him.
