Back-up point guard? Edwards
He has not contributed much of late. The opportunity should be there for him.Time for him to take advantage of it.
Assuming that none of the injured play---Friars will be going to war vs. a middle of the pack AAC Houston 5 with Watson, Young, Bullock, Jalen,Jackson, MAL, Edwards and Planek[yes----after Sunday's game he should be included].They all need to be ready to play from the get go.
Won't be easy---but I have a good feeling .
Hopefully---they will play as well as they usually do at Mohegan Sun.
GO FRIARS!!
Drew's time on the court seems hit or miss on a game-by-game basis. It's becoming apparent that a healthy White gets time over Drew, except for instances where we need someone to play in the middle of an opposing team's zone defense, or when injuries, illnesses or foul problems dilute our backcourt depth.
While I'm normally not one to speculate on such matters, I wonder how Drew feels about his prospects of getting any more playing time next year.
Based upon the post game pictures, body language appears to reflect whether Drew got meaningful run time or not...
Case in point: He got just 4 minutes and had a stat line full of zeros following yesterday's win at Georgetown (near Drew's Baltimore area home)
Here's the team pic following our win at Marquette. Drew didn't get minutes this game.
Here is the team pic following our New Year's Eve victory against Creighton. Drew got 16 minutes in the game, scoring 5 and 3 rebounds
