My expectations are where they were at this time last season. NIT. Last season was a nice surprise and everything fell into place. The fact is the senior class just isn't that good, ok, but not very good and without Holt they are closer to ok than good. The Junior class is Jackson, the sophomore class is strong in numbers and good, but not great. The Freshmen are Freshmen.

I said last year I was fine if bullock bolted for the future of the program. Now I didn't see the game today but he's actually at least played hard...just has his flaws. I was also making those comments on the assumption Jax Lindsey Cartwright would be better. I think we can win next year with the sophs and frosh plus holt. Last year was smoke and mirrors....and keep in mind we were terrible against creighton and blew a 15+ point lead against use.

I wanted to give them a chance and it’s still early but this team is going nowhere. I would say NIT is in doubt, if they play like they have lately it will get ugly. No fight, no grit, no purpose. Barely edged out rider, Belmont and brown -teams they should handle by 10-15 easily. Cooley made a tough OOC and they’re failing, even if they somehow do a 180 and run the table these last 3 to finish at my projected and necessary 10-3 they didnt get a signature road win or big win vs minn, so it’s a hollow 10-3....that said this team now may not beat the last 3teams on their slate, and if that’s the case it’s curtains before BE even begins, such a letdown.
I’d run MAL and Watson as much as possible for the future and I’m not sure what the plan is with dickens.....

Tough ooc?

Relatively. Top 15 home opponent, 2 true road games, 3 or 4 neutral site games, home games against solid mid majors....some high majors barely play a single game away from their home court, during ooc. Hey several of the writers wrote the same thing, but as usual walk picks out one thing in an entire paragraph and quibbles with it.

A lot of people hated to hear it but we had some luck on our side with some injuries to some of our opponents last year when we got hot to end the year. I agree with you as well. Bullock has been fine. I expected Lindsey to put the ball on the floor more this year. There have been games where he has had a wide open lane and refused to drive.

Our best lineup is with Bullock at center and Diallo at the 4. Pathetic, but true.
