My thought on the "missing link" is that the Friars may just have to rely upon the old-fashioned three...

This is huge! If that sophomore class makes a big jump to go along with talent on the freshman class the team is going to be a national player

The early reports on Watson's size look to be very true. Based on high school reports, I was expecting around 6'7-6'8. This kid looks like he is on the 6'9+ side and will be a powerhouse. This kid could be a big surprise in the BE and that is saying something for a kid ranked around 75.
Him along with an improved and matured Kalif and a legit 7' in Dickens is going to make this team much improved in the front court. And the small ball line up with Holt and Bully will be very dangerous as well. I think this team could possibly challenge for 1st place in the BE if we stay healthy.

Really does appear that Kalif's in significantly better shape! twitter.com/PCFriarsmbb,

Lost 15 lbs since arriving July 2nd I expect a significant contribution when in game shape in early December Imposing play in the paint from what I see and not shy Think we got a good one. Important piece when Young in foul trouble I suspect. Future looks good at PF

Do not recall KMAC ever filing such positive notes regarding our Friars since maybe (ever) And this in July when it is scrimmage scramble time... Still, with our depth of promise , there is much to be done as we progress. Stay healthy, stay together and figure out how to keep everyone happy with their role and playing time - these are all rich "problems" for the staff to accomplish. What stood out to me when I was at a scrimmage was the obvious conditioning up and down the roster - let alone the depth of the roster. We are poised to be contenders - the proof will come on the court.
