Confounding why some posters feel the need to start new threads instead of adding to the historical chain of events started in the original thread.
Why?
The MODS are getting ready for bed or this sucker would be moved and the violator admonished

Confounding why some posters feel the need to start new threads instead of adding to the historical chain of events started in the original thread. Why? The MODS are getting ready for bed or this sucker would be moved and the violator admonished This article was published yesterday (current enough?) and, while you may think it's old news, I do not. Further, it's been two months since that buried thread you allude to was "in the news"! Things must be slow in South County for you to make an attempt at humor over this. Has the Portuguese Man O'War descended upon your beach and forced you to survive on land? Woe be #dexthekingofalternativefacts. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Wide awake Mod agrees with thump here.
While revealing little - "don't like fake people" it is new news regarding former PC coach Simon who was always spoken of in high regard.
His sudden firing and lack of information regarding same is of interest to many so anything "new" after two months is fine as a new topic post IMO. Especially during the doldrums of July.
Play on...

www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2017/07/sources_john_beilein_interview.htmlANN ARBOR -- Ten days removed from losing two assistant coaches in the span of a week, John Beilein still has two openings on his staff. How and when they'll be filled remains to be seen, but some candidates are emerging. Three sources have told MLive that John Beilein has interviewed Duquesne assistant Charles Thomas, while two sources confirmed a phone interview between Beilein and Creighton assistant Preston Murphy. Beilein is also said to have expressed interest in former Alabama assistant Bob Simon. One source, however, citing Murphy's agent, told MLive that Murphy has accepted a increase in compensation to remain at Creighton. A spokesman from Creighton athletics declined to comment. Simon is a 54-year-old with 20 years of college experience and 10 years at the high school level. He spent the last two years on Avery's Johnson's bench at Alabama, but his contract wasn't renewed this off-season. Simon grew up outside Detroit and attended Thurston High School in Redford. He's an EMU alum and coached at Wayne State from 1991-2000. Simon made assistant coaching stops at Toledo, Fairfield and Providence before landing at Alabama.

Simon to Michigan sounds like a great fit considering his ties to the area. John Beilein is by all accounts hardly a "fake".

Wow, they really need to move to get some people in place from the start of the Live period next week.
