He had a workout with the Pistons, but I don't know if an invitation came from it.

Signed on with the Spurs for Summer League play Probably the worst spot for him unless he decides to play defense this summer.

People like to generalize and talk like they know what is best for everybody; I think those who questioned Ben's decision should watch this video and hear for themselves how he has been a success and inspiration and hear how he absolutely does not question his decision. And besides, if defense is his weakness, why can't he work on his defense making bank in France, opposed to playing for nothing? He pointed out the fact that people cannot play forever, but also recognizes that he needs to continue to pursue a degree. I think that everybody in the PC community should continue to embrace this guy and not sit back and think they're right for saying he made a bad decision. Beyond Ben, I think that more younger guys should play outside of the US, make what they deserve and not passive aggressively take a stand and complain about everybody taking advantage of them. Not to say I like the system, but I prefer to stand behind people who find a way to be successful, whatever the path may be. If more and more talented players followed this path, their actions would force the NCAA to make the changes everybody wants.

NCAA to make the changes everybody wants. If the "changes that everybody wants" feature paying the players on a Bb basis only, you may find that a lot of people don't want that. Including guys and girls who play hockey, soccer, Bb et al. Fans as well.
I think it would be wise of the NBA to adopt the MLB Jr eligible stance (for Div.1). If you don't want that, go the Juco or Div.2? level and leave any time you please.
Nobody gave Bentil a hard time here. Some said he wasn't ready --and he wasn't-- but that's his business. As far as 'his limited time to pursue a career', give me a break. The 20yo. had a coach who let him do anything he wanted on the floor. Which was mostly to play a high post game and shoot from deep when he wanted. He led the BE in scoring when he probably would have been more valuable scoring 5 less and rebounding 5 more. He had a very, very fortuitous so. year at PC.

How can you argue that athletes don't have a limited time to pursue a career? It's basically fact. I'm not arguing one way or another on Bentil's decision, but the reality is most guys don't play sports professionally past their early 30s (with plenty of notable exceptions, obviously).
