Waived Isaiah Cane as well.
Looks like they are playing for a good draft pick.

This is a huge year for Dunn. If he repeats last year, he could be joining Marshon in China.

I saw the T-Wolves play several times. The offense usually involved the PG bringing the ball down the court, feeding Towns and heading for an open spot. Towns is an outstanding offensive talent. Rubio put up pretty good numbers because he is a good spot up shooter from the perimeter. Kris however seemed to struggle since the set offense took away a lot of his creativity. In addition, with a kick-out to him late in the shot clock, it eliminated his ability to create driving to the hoop. He certainly needs to spend the summer working on his shot since many offenses rely on PG to shoot from the perimeter. For example, he would struggle in the Celtic offense. Chicago may be more open and they certainly want to run under Hoiberg. There will be more pressure on Kris to produce next year than there was in Minny.

Obviously I'm a homer, and that's why I'm on this board. My only interest in the NBA is how it helps Providence and their former players. I also know that it's silly to give up on a player after one or two years. Otto Porter's rookie year was much worse than Kris', and he sucked during his second year, too. Porter just got a 4 yr contract offer for $106 million.

I'd be more bullish on Kris as an NBA player if his rookie warts weren't the same ones we saw repeatedly at PC, namely loose with the ball and sub-par shooting. Doesn't it also concern you that he had trouble winning over the most defennsive-minded head coach in the league in Tibideau and was traded after just one season?
Now, he could become the Wolves version of what the Celtics suffered in trading Chauncey Billups, we shall see. Everyone on this board should be pulling hard for Dunn but that shouldnt exclude any of us from speaking some truth either.

Rock: I agree that it looked like Kris was going to the perfect coach for his play in the NBA. Not sure who is making the decisions in Minny but they replaced Rubio and Kris w Jeff Teague. His defense may be a step down from even Rubio's. Head coach Tom Thibodeau couldn’t elevate the team’s defense much last season, but if he can help Teague’s typically weak defense and effort, then that’s another bonus. www.fanragsports.com/nba/timberwolves/timberwolves-make-mediocre-offensive-move-getting-jeff-teague/

Well Rondo is in free agency so DUNN's chance to step up and succeed are right there for him to seize.
Agree he must advance his game significantly to include better ball handling/control and development of some sort of consistent shooting touch/ range.
Heard uptempo approach is in the works at Chicago so that could be a better fit for his game.
Hoping he has some individual workouts scheduled to develop some better consistency - the chance is there, and he must take advantage lest he fall by the wayside like so many others before him.

After Rondo got hurt in the playoffs the Bulls played without a traditional PG because none of them could play.
Thibs has full control in Minny so it was his decision.
