Hopefully, this results in Kris getting the opportunity to play and develop his game as we know he will. I don't think that Chicago will be re-signing Rondo...

More Draft "Stuff"
- "No college coach develops 1 & Done - Lottery Picks.. he only gets to recruit them" - Jay Bilas (as the cameras were on De'Aaron Fox and Coach Cal) - Just dawning on me that the Big East isn't represented well in this draft. (Justin Patton #16.....) Hoping that's a good thing - in terms of talent next year - Rick Pitino wasn't present with Jonathon Mitchell and his family for the Draft. Guess "First Come Doesn't Mean First Served" applies to available seats in the Green Room

Bilas is such a know it all, smug, punk. Why didn't he say tfat v when some of the Duke players were drafted? Some may not like Calipati but those kids do get better their one year at UK. He has had more success with one and done than anyone else. Have to give Cooley credit for seeing Donovan Mitchells potential before anyone else. He has an eye for talent.

I never see Bill Self who always has a kid in top picks. mark Few had a few kids as well but I don't think he was there. I give Cal credit for going every year and supporting his kids.

Cal is there every year to witness his "kids" as they walk across the stage and promote the UK - Model for success in the process. If I were a coach, I can't imagine why (short of not being invited or a significant, personal conflict) I'd miss being there when a player of mine gets drafted. Not being there (without reasonable justification) only plays to the belief that some coaches only care about the individuals they recruit when they are on the program's court. This too, is part of the Ed Cooley aura - as he's stated that he wants to be there when "his babies" cross the stage at graduation, get married, have babies, etc.

Cal is going for face time and publicity. Is that why he speaks daily with Marcus Camby for the last 20 years? Say what you will about the perception of Coach Cal as this "evil" and "morally bankrupt " guy. Except 99%of his former players LOVE him. Did anyone witness the turnout of his former players for his HOF ceremony? They all showed up for him. It's pure fiction that Cal does what he does for "publicity". #FakeNews.

Plenty of talent went undrafted last night. The outcome may have served to justify (in my mind) Ben's decision to jump - although he may have been better, going undrafted - in order to "audition" with a team that was a better fit than the Cs, during last year's Summer League. I suspect that he'll be playing on some NBA team's Summer Team Roster over the next month. Orlando League starts July 1 www.yahoo.com/sports/five-best-college-players-not-selected-years-nba-draft-055242796.html
