Being part of the loud cheers today at Madison square garden was nice to hear Friartown loves MSG

Chris Mullin brings cache to the program. As you all know he played on a final four team. Those were great days at MSG.
Wasn't the score 78 - 71 Friar favor late in the 2nd. Half.
Somehow his team got within reach.
They didn't lay down today.

All I heard around here from the basketball gods since Mullin was hired is he can't coach.
Daddy-O you may have noticed that some of the specimens here are wishful thinkers quite detached from reality.

Just back home a short while ago, and looking forward to watching a replay tomorrow morning.
Great win by PC, but boy, it appears that the refs mucked this one up into one, fugly contest.
Regardless, it's a win

First half was grusome with the foul calls. The Friar lead was the only bright spot.
Rodney fouling out was inevitable.
Linsey first half bright spot with his shooting, hit a beautiful NBA three. And several of them.
You saw Alpha ,KC, Young, Holt and Jackson score in double digits. (From memory not scoreboard).

Shoot Chris Mullin is a basketball god.
My lost buddy Donny Sheldon of the purple bell bottoms that he wore every day from Flatbush, Brklyn told me he was Chris Mullins CYO coach. That boy was a gym rat like our own Ernie D. He could have gone elsewhere but was loyal to Lou Carnesceca (sp).
Like most of the street urchins we were drinking early and often. Lot of truth in DeCaprio's " Basketball Diaries" flick.
Chris and Walter Berry were in places they shouldn't have been during their Redman playing days.
As were many of us.
The guy has basketball in his DNA. He has taken on the steep task of bringing the Red Storm back from the abyss.
I do not underestimate his ability to achieve the rebuilding program.
I didn't take notice of the post game handshake but have to think that Chris admires what Coach Cooley has accomplished and that Coach Cooley respects Chris Mullin.
I also think that Chris Mullin is his harshest critic.
SJU needs him as he needs SJU.
A strong SJU is good for the Big East and that's great for Providence College Men's basketball program.

Well said Daddy-O...a much more eloquent arse kicking of those dopes who say "Mullin can't coach"
He is succeeding quite well thank you in recruiting, wins, and attendance uptick.
Time to call out the bizarro's around here once and for all
I am the new normal

SJU is a couple of big guys away from being tough. They have a couple of transfers coming in next year in. I still wonder why Sima transferred. He had as much ability as any young big in the BE last year and looked promising. When you look at their lack of depth Mullin has done a good job with them considering.

Roster turnover could hinder the rebuilding....rumors of LoVett being one and done to play for pay overseas...that said, the improvement in Queens cannot be denied...
