Ed's comments on the crowd were very complimentary. I think it's a game like today that Coach Cooley sees the potential of the Friar program. This fan base was put through hell prior to Ed coming on board. The winning is healing the wounds, and one NCAA run -- 2, 3 wins would get Friar fans RABID! Of course, 4 straight NCAA bids doesn't hurt, either.
I know it's been said countless times, but the "new" Big East has been such a blessing for Providence.

He went out of his way to plug the crowd like 4 separate times and asked "all the writers to write about it". Said Dunk was "magical place" and in 23 years of coaching he hasn't seen a better atmosphere than the Dunk at its best.

The crowd was over 13K and the bldg capacity is 12K+
I was there. That crowd, and Rodney of course, willed that team to victory today.
I think we sometimes over-estimate the crowd influence, or at least I do, but not today. The fans were awesome no ifs, ands or buts about it..

I watched from a bar at the base of a ski slope. The fact that the slopes closed and a band started up at 4pm, made today a game watch (no listen) only.
Looking forward to catching the AUDIO/visual replay.
