I am sure many have watched the Rooke call and video of the last minute. Still an amazing turn of events since the ball went from Cartwright-Bullock-Holt-Jackson-Cartwright. Lindsey planted in the right corner during the play and waved for the ball. I guess it is the way the game plays today, but I found it ironic in hindsight that both Lindsey and Cartwright set up beyond the arc even though we were down 2. Cartwright was actually a few feet beyond the line. Both were pretty open before the pass so it really didn't spread the floor. I guess kids take so many 3's now that it is more routine than a 2.

All 5 Creighton guys collapsed into the paint once we got the ball in there.

I have said many times I'm no X's and O's guy.....From a layman's perspective I like the penetrate and dish aspect most times, and especially in key final posessions. Get the ball inside via a drive or a pass and you might get a good look, force them to foul you, or be able to dish to wide open shooters on the perimeter. All I ask is that don't stand beyond the arc with the ball in isolation until the clock ticks down to 4 seconds to make your move, ESPECIALLY if losing. They moved the ball around and great things happened because of it. Even if that missed there was a chance for a put back.
Also not sure if Ed had a timeout in his pocket or not but I LOVE letting them come down the floor and figure it out without stopping to let the defense setup and drawing something up from the sideline. Let them play.

All 5 Creighton guys collapsed into the paint once we got the ball in there. Exactly. The result was great but are kids taught to go to the 3 point line regardless of score as opposed to move closer for a shot inside the arc.

Looking back at the play closely, the Friars had 3 players in position to fight for a rebound when KC's shot was in the air...Bullock crashed as soon as the shot flew...there was no standing around waiting to see what happened...

I also liked that neither Holt nor Jackson forced anything.

Looks like they started collapsing on Holt. Then when he gave it up to Jackson they assumed that would be the shot so they all made their way toward him. Left Cartwright and Jalen wide open. Even Bullock seemed to be open out there.

I thought Holt was going to get a Spaulding Burger if he attempted to go to the rim...fortunately he kicked to Jackson
