LOL the devil incarnate
Walk reminds me of a story...so one of the gang from a modest background saved his money for several years and then bought the first NEW car of his life...he was bursting with pride as he bolted to the dealer to pick it up and drop off the jalopy he was driving. It was a very nice car and as he drove up to the corner we were hanging at... it sparkled as did his smile from ear to ear. So 3 guys offer generous congrats and good luck and It's A Beauty etc
But one kid who spoke last said something that I will never ever forget as long as I live.
He said: "Nice car Tony...BUT why did you get Blue?"

Hart not a great comparison imo, totally different body types. Hart is max 6-5 and is quicker and shiftier. Diallo 2 inches taller...
Diallo's floor (maybe basement) is soph year Rome Augustin, his ceiling is a VERY, VERY poor man's Reggie Lewis.

if he's our primary 2G as a jr we've struck out big time on the recruiting front.... Walk: If he reminds you of Josh Hart, he could be our primary 2G as a junior. It seems like forever since we had a real 2 guard.

rome Augustine is thinner than my 3 iron...terrible comparison.
Until this year, hart's spent more time at the 3 and with nova 1-4 are interchangeable...SO if we get a couple legit 2Gs who can handle the ball and get to the rim...

You're remembering him differently than I do... Came in as a freshman rail thin but put weight on. Just looked at the Bryant roster when he was there, they had him listed at 215 pounds.

I like the Josh Hart comparison. He also reminds me of Josh Pace a bit. Always around the ball.

C. J. Fair PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! CJ Fair was the guy I was thinking of, not Josh Pace...had the wrong SU guy. Hart is physically a different player. Very strong to the basket and a superior shooter. He was All-Rookie as a freshmen, BE Tournament MVP and BE Sixth Man of the year as a sophomore, he was All Big East and one of 15 finalists for the Wooden Award and also one of 5 finalists for the Jerry West Award (the nation's best shooter) as a junior. In my mind he should be First Team All-American this year. Lofty aspirations for a Diallo who, until 4 of the last 5 games, has gone through typical freshman frustrations. I'd love him to become the shooter that Hart is but his driving to the basket is hampered by an immature handle. Sometimes it is extremely weak. I see more of C. J. Fair in him. Quick first step, slippery to the basket. Good medium length shooter and getting better at the 3. Solid 4-year player type. Just my thoughts. Glad we agree, yankeefriar. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

See walk...do you see what they do when you make an innocent comparison of who you are "reminded" of? You used to be guilty of the same thing until you turned the page so to speak. This is the reason I became reluctant to answer comparative questions on kids when I was a recruiting guru. So if you compare some midget recruit to Isaia Thomas of the Celts you get challenged bec the kid doesn't average 30 ppg. Nowadays I don't give a crap so I will make all the comparisons I like...but it is an interesting failed aspect of human nature by some of these birds.
And as for you #neverthumper...Josh Hart will be one of the weakest BE POY winners in recorded history. You obviously love the kid while I like the kid. Tough and a good college game not great. Maybe you think he's a lottery pick while I doubt he is a 1st rounder.

So for the Goldilocks take on Josh Hart, just right, perhaps his play lies somewhere between #neverthumper's lauding assessment and dex's more temperate assessment?
Josh Hart scoring was invisible last night in the DePaul game until the under 8 minute mark remaining in a sloppily played contest where Villanova had 20+ point leads at times.
Hart came on near the ending to build his stats, but the game scorers had been Bridges, Pascall, Brunson, Jenkins in a dunk fest.

So everyone on the Big East selection committee knows nothing and #dexthekingofalternativefacts knows better??? I know you write your own newspaper clippings but you're really no clairvoyant. SNL would have a field day with you. But we all love you. Especially on Valentine's Day. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!
