With UNC and OK having lost this weekend, the Wildcats could be #1 in this week's poll. Would be nice for them and the BE.

digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/ProJo/per Kmac Determining No. 1 A season marked by a regular toppling of highly ranked teams continued on Saturday with both No. 1 Oklahoma (at Kansas State) and No. 2 North Carolina (at Notre Dame) getting upset. The daily double of the top two teams in the polls losing on the same day to unranked teams has happened only seven times and not since 2006. The losses open the door for a potential sixth different top-ranked team in the polls. North Carolina, Michigan State, Kansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma have all been No. 1 at some point this season. Some pollsters may just elevate the third-ranked Wildcats since the first- and second-place teams lost. That would be lazy. Oklahoma (19-3) and Villanova (20-3) have nearly identical résumés with one glaring difference. Back on Dec. 7, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the Sooners wiped the ‘Cats clean, 78-55. That should be enough of a difference-maker to prevent anyone with a clue from ranking ‘Nova ahead of the Sooners, who should remain No. 1 when the polls are released on Monday.

dex,
Would you not agree that #1 should be the team playing the best right now, not over 2 months ago?
Vote the Cats in. Then we can say we beat the #1 team on their court.
We need some crowing rights to snap our Friars out of their funk.
PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Seems that some voters cast their votes on what the results on paper show while others cast their votes on what they actually think. For example, some voters left PC in the 20s all year because they actually felt PC wasn't a Top 15 team despite the early record and success.
