Better team won tonight. X is talented, deep and a good balance of size and wing players. They had five guys in double figures.Farr and Reynolds are a tough combo inside for our non-tall squad. If we shot even average tonight we could have won. PC is a very good team.Onto the Hoyas .

As always, the effort was there but the execution (shooting wise) was anemic

PC shot 31%from the field. 22/70. 21% from 3 .7/34
Horrendous numbers.Far below average. Amazed the Friars only lost by 7 with those numbers.
Onto DC.

I think Bullock hit the freshman wall............................... That is part of it. Poor kid is being asked to cover talented bigs who are 4 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier.Wearing him down.

I think Bullock hit the freshman wall............................... And I was expecting so much from him following his performance at Butler. He hasn't been a force since that game.

Look at our BEnumbers 71...39% and 29%.. And this was after decent percentages against nova. Not surprised at all by our percentages knowing that we struggle with the 1-3-1. While we clearly needed some threes to get back in the game, we took way too many. We're the worst shooting team in the BE by a ton.

Shoot 40% they win this game.
So that's 4 games in the Dunk in BE play with horrendous shooting in all of them, 3 of them losses..and we know how Cooley hates to lose at home.
For those of us that were there, one helluva crowd. Into it from the beginning. Even when they couldn't shoot straight crowd hung in there with them.
Must have had over half the students at PC at this game. Good for them to show up.
Back on the road, GT and DePaul before home game against Nova.
GTown remains tied for second in the league with win over BlueJays.
No coaches on the post game tonight

What's scary is you shoot that at Xavier they beat us by 25. I'm pretty much writing us in for a blowout loss at Xavier. Maybe I'm quitting on them too easy again. I guess you pray for a sweep of nova? I was hoping and praying for a split against those two but we may well end up 1-3. Road only gets harder from here. 4 home games and 6 roadies remain.

For anyone who thinks tonight was an outlier from a shooting standpoint, please look at our BE box scores....take away Rodney's 3 point shooting at butler and this is who we are. We beat nova b/c we got transition hoops and limited second half threes to eight. We got going early tonight and dunn and Bentil were gassed after seven minutes.
We need to run to score but do not have the horses to do it.

Why would expect us to shoot 40% tonight?

I am absolutely amazed at how terrible of a shooting team PC is. Have they ever been worse? Honest question, I'm not sure, but I don't recall it.
This literally looks like average high school players shooting.

Well with the exception of an occasional night where he miraculously makes a couple threes junior can't and shouldn't shoot. I don't mind lay ups and runners but mid range and deeper unless it's wide open he should avoid. His shot is so ugly. Lindsey just doesn't seem to have it. I'm glad he made one or two late and it did help us get back in but he's brick city all season long,
Fazekas was unconscious prior to his mono.,,.when Ben takes good shots he's money, same for Kris. Cartwright can be streaky but he's much improved

Fazekas was unconscious prior to his mono. No 3 attempts. He seemed to hesitate a couple of times, whereas he used to have a quick trigger.
