A little good news can go a long way about now. This from John Rooke's latest column:
"— How about some good news, Friars fans? God Shammgod is preparing to enroll in graduate school at PC, to begin working toward a master’s degree in counseling. Somehow, that’s a perfect fit for him. And it’s a perfect fit for the program, as it means he’ll remain on the coaching staff as a grad assistant for next season."

Yes,we are still hoping for another bigmanrecruit or two. But,how about the good things that have happened. Battle replacingSimon is at worst a wash (and I loved Bob as a person and coach). Dunn staying is an amazing Blessing. Sham staying as aGrad Assistant is also an amazing Blessing. I am optimistic that Cooley and Company will attract at least one big guy to help out this Fall,so that Ben will not have to pay the 5 40 minutes a game.

Indeed 82, great news! Have to think Sham could find paying gig somewhere, so he really must bleed black & white. He's a great story for so many reasons, fortunate to have him.

Yes, it was reported that he did have offers to join coaching staffs. Don't know what schools, but, as I've said before, what program would not want Shammgod on their staff? It took me two years to earn my graduate degree. That's the usual time span. So hopefully, grad school means 2 years as an unpaid grad assistant. And when done, may he walk into a paid position with PC.
