IMO the NCaa may keep an eye on this one. I know nothing about this kid's background --my choice-- but if he shows up to his next campus and is flush with cash --like a former local player did at Purdue-- he may find out people are looking at him more than usual.

Half of me wants to refer to our former player as "Thump" so as to never utter or type his name again. The other half views his as the 'prodigal son' who I would forgive and take back in a minute if he ever changed his mind. As the bloodied, head-banging, always in despair PC fan that I am, I see the necessity of leaving that door open. I think Izzo raises some valid points. I believe the number of D1 transfers was over 600 last year. But the problem goes beyond the student athlete. The below article states that 1/3 of all college students transfer. Now that number includes community college students going in both directions. But the numbers are pretty staggering. I saw a piece in a Florida paper that UCF accepts 6,000 transfers a year and USF gets 4,000. What it does is continues to extend the life of a college student from 4 to 5+ years which obviously generates more money for the colleges. So Izzo may not like it but the colleges realize it increases their bottom line. I actually think that trend extends to the workplace as well. For many reasons some of of our kids have had more jobs in 10 years than we had in 40. chronicle.com/article/A-Third-of-Students-Transfer/130954

If he goes to Syracuse it will surprise me,upset me and, most importantly, tell me a lot about this young man and those advising him.

Cuse may have some rough days coming and to leave an up and coming program where if you work hard you could be the man. Iona is puzzling as well. While they are a good program it is clearly a downgrade.

Fact is many of the players who we believe to be good kids and have chosen PC over the years would have jumped at the opportunity to play for Syracuse/UNC/ pick the higher profile school with "problems". Chukwu going to one of these programs doesn't make him any better or worse in my book.

One day, after both have had their run in the NBA, I have a feeling that KD's "poster" will include Pascal...
