Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 6s6 seconds ago Providence big man Paschal Chukwu will transfer, sources told @cbssports. Story: cbsprt.co/1L2bg4t #pcbb Providence's Paschal Chukwu to transfer By Jon Rothstein | CBS Sports May 18, 2015 3:20 pm ET Providence big man Paschal Chukwu will transfer, sources told CBSSports.com. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season per NCAA rules. The 7-foot-2 big man would have been the Friars' starting center this season after averaging 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds last year as a freshman. Chukwu was a former Top-75 recruit out of high school and should have plenty of high-major suitors. Providence advanced to its second straight NCAA Tournament last season and lost in the Round of 64 to Dayton.

And I was just saying how we were about to get through a month of May without a bombshell transfer. Coleman and Fortune hurt but not like this one. Maddening.

Systemic problem in our program. And who's that on? Yes, Coleman and Fortune are different than Chukwu - hell, everyone's different form everyone - but each May we take an unexpected, stunning transfer blow. One's random, two a coincidence but three? I'm dismayed at how poor a job we do in managing our kids once the season is over. Wake me in November.

This makes absolutely no sense. I was expecting to hear Dunn/Chukwu NBA draft rumors all season long.
Huge financial implications for Pascal. This has to be personal because there are no financial benefits...even if he's getting a few bucks under the table...

I am shocked that this is happening.

Stunning news. Was looking forward to watching this kid blossom. I don't get it but its a major blow to the program. God forbid we enjoy one off season without any major issues. Dunn gives us great news and hope and then this drops.
