Cartwright and Bentil played well today. They picked up the slack for Henton. Dunn was unreal again. He gets better every game.

Really don't care walk - they are FRESHMAN, so have at it.
Bentil was solid.(PERIOD)
Chukwu has game and good hands and deserves more minutes - would really like to see him on the court with CD at the same time.
Cartwright was even more so with his speed and on the court confidence that is so obvious - he is disruptive to the opposition and if he can continue with that pop shot it would help greatly. Yes, this kid is a personal favorite and I hope others see that the potential is there; he is all of 18 but plays like a more experienced player..
*
A larger concern is our first 'signature' recruit from last year - Jalen Lindsey who got a mere taste of minutes yesterday. He was ghost-like and a non-factor on the court even as reports of a tender Achilles injury are whispered. The talent seems to be there, the self-confidence is not.

After a made basket he races back on defense. Too often we see kids jog back and get burned with a quick hitter. Maybe he got burned earlier in a game this year, but several times after he scored a layup, he put his head down and sprinted back on D. Hopefully he keeps that trait as his career continues.

Noticed that too. Cartwright goes full speed to get back and set up for defense.

I see good things for him and the Friars. Two 7 footers on the court together defending and rebounding - my head is exploding at the possibilities.

Third straight game in double figures for Ben. Has had at least 5 boards in all 3. 3rd option we have been begging for?

He's stepped it up...no doubt...I missed the game today but most of gtown he got his points outside of the offense...if he's getting 10+ under that scenario were in good shape....I guess the hopes that Harris may have turned the corner pre sju were just hopes....and he gets a pass today b/c of his grandfather....

Another strong game for Bentil, and the total frosh production was substantial too (30 pts, 11 boards, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals and a modest 3 turnovers). Bentil did hoist up another 2 treys without connecting today- now oh for 10 in conference play from beyond the arc.

Bentil may finally be getting and it looks like he is just playing instead of thinking. Now if we can only get Dunn to clean up some of those turnovers we will be ok. I understand he will have some but games of having 6 and 7 turnovers can kill you and can easily be the difference to winning by 10 versus losing by 10.

I'm too worried about the # of TO's by Dunn, he is going to have more than the average PG anyway. It's the timing of them. The lob pass that Reynolds stole at the top of the zone was a killer in the middle of a run.
....gotta love friartown...

Brendan McGair @bwmcgair03 50m50 minutes ago PC frosh Ben Bentil has been named @bigeastmbb ROW. Averaged 16 ppg and 8.5 rebounds in 2 games last week. #pcbb #friars
