Cooleys killed hentons D from day 1...... I'd hope bullock would be better defensively....
As for identifying positions with bullock...henton...Harris....they're all 3/4 s on a roster with 2 fortune type guards but appear to be among our 5 best so they'll play together....not a ton of options...

Sounds like a great trip. I wonder about the level of competition. I get that they're trying out the younger players and mixing and matching and don't want to jump into anything too intense or risk injuries, etc, but these games were huge mismatches. I think I saw that the first team was level "D" or "E" of their pro leagues. Last year St John's went on a longer trip of Europe and won a few and lost a few games. I'm assuming they played a higher level of competition. Obviously it didn't help them much during their NCAA season, but they have other issues. Perhaps for PC though, a step higher in the future would be more beneficial?

Wait... so Bullock scored 29 pts in the first game and 40 in the third but only averaged 23.6 for all three? So he scored 1.8 points in game 2? Something is off here...

It sounds like this trip was about more than just hoops, so it might be a little short-sighted to evaluate the trip like you're doing.

Reporting by Cox has been erratic, he didn't net 40 points in game 3. Bullock had 29 in the first game, 8 in the second and 33 in the third = 23.6ppg to go with his 12rpg. The other newcomers came in thus: Junior Lomomba 23ppg, 7apg Kyron Cartwright 12.7ppg, 8.3apg

I think Perugia was reportedly a better team than Nelson or Tiber.

In fact all three newcomers had their worst performances vs the better team: Lomomba 17pts & 1ast; Cartwright 4pts & 6 assists. That was the game where the veterans Harris and Henton led the way with their largest personal contributions.

Is it not a legitimate question when we're beating opponents by 80 points with half our roster? You can disagree and that's fine but I think my question has some merit for discussion without resorting to saying I'm 'short sighted'....The kids could play a level or two higher, win by 20 each game, and still go see Rome and Venice and the other places and bond. Just my $.02, you can disagree and discuss, but I get the "bigger picture" of the point of the trip. I'd like to think basketball does play a tiny part in all of this as well as the bonding, learning, enjoyment aspects...

Ok, dmac. To me, it sounded like you were focused solely on the competition. Personally, I was not too concerned about the level of competition on that trip. That's just my opinion though.
