merrimack sucks and he swears too much. Well it's a tough world when you come out of that Magic KinWowom, Mickey. But I was considering putting a "Parental Discretion" label but I love his work. I think he cares about this program and is not afraid to provide content for fans during a few days off. He actually brings substance to an article.

Craig B. is not even close to a professional. I like Craig a lot. But he is not even close.

Craig B. is not even close to a professional. I like Craig a lot. But he is not even close. Unprofessional on your part. You're "trying" to get into the profession but need to learn a few life lessons. All you're doing is schlocking a buddy at Craig B's expense. I'm always looking for anything about PC basketball. I enjoy Friarbasketball.com a great deal. And Craig B does a terrific job. As to Friarblog.com, I found warrior's rant waaaaaaay to long to say what needed to be said. If it wasn't for my thirst of Friar information, I never would have gone back to Friar blog because, for two months, the only thing updated were the tweets etc. Your snide reference to Craig B smells of trying to drum up enthusiasm for a very dormant website. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

I like both of these guys.
Craig beat him to the punch. friarblog article didn't have to be written because craig said what needed to be said in a clear and concise manner. Can't believe I'm saying this...but I agree with peeps. No need for the swearing and nonchalant (barstool) tone. Quite frankly, nobody wants to hear about merrimack. We are coming off an NIT quarterfinal appearance and just rattled off 5 BE wins. Students not being in the seats in this scenario is a bigger problem that merrimack hockey.
Like the effort, enjoy the reading.

Hey guys!
Thanks everyone for taking the time out to read it and giving feedback on this board. Sorry to those of you who didn't like it, and I'm glad for those of you who did. I worked my ass off for a couple days writing it so it's always good to see what I can do better and what I'm doing right. One thing I would like to throw out there is I'm not trying to be anybody or emulate any other site (Friar Basketball, Barstool (which I haven't even read since college), ESPN, or otherwise). I try to make sure everything I work on is something that doesn't copy off of anyone else while remaining something that nobody else could replicate. Sorry if it came off any other way!

PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!! You're correct I will take responsibility for that. I respect Craig and he and all of those guys to great work. I think that came out of me defending my friend. So I do apologize and I should not have done it. It was wrong of me.

FWIW... i like warrior. i think nowadays with all the content there is far too much copycatting. i'm sure he has his own persona. personally i think he'd be much better served to use friarblog in the format that was created by dave (unless i'm confusing things and warrior is dave).
obviously you must know craig personally... i was referring to his work on friarbasketball. it is much more refined.
maybe a better example of professionalism would have been brendan mcgair who is hands down the best writer for this small niche of PC basketball.

Craig is one of the best fans out there. Again, I am sorry for the statement I made. I should not have gotten personal. I was just being a friend defending a friend against some of the comments and I threw Craig and his work under the proverbial bus. He and everyone at Friarbasketball.com do terrific work. I really do appreciate their work, as I mentioned in my mini FRIARpod. So hopefully we can leave it at that and know I made a mistake. FWIW...Warrior is not Dave. And Warrior is not Craig or anyone else because he writes his own style. He is not trying to be a professional sports writer. He is a writer with his own style and happens to write about sports on occasion. Warrior has written articles for Scout and Friarblog where he interviews recruits and coaches and its great stuff. He also has a great creative side and uses that in his opinion articles. He is a passionate fan presenting his own style and I enjoy it. One thing that Warrior does well is he will take the critiques and use them to his advantage. I think sometimes people forget some of us are trying to break in to an overall tough business - broadcasting, journalism, etc. - in our own way and each of us with our own path. I certainly forgot it last night when I made that statement in reference to Craig. And I do regret making that comment about Craig. I am not going to speak for Craig or Warrior or anyone, but just from my standpoint I want to break into this business because I love it. I do not think I can do anything else with my life. I do have life lessons to learn. And I learned a small one last night. I want to do it and break in and be able to say "Hey I do this and I went to Providence College." I love the school as much as Craig and Warrior and I want to succeed and then say I went to Providence College. And I enjoy Brendan McGair's work. He brings his own style into his reporting. I enjoy it.
