when harris and henton got 4 fouls against creighton, i remember thinking this kid's got to play the best 2nd half of his life for us to hold on...cotton appeared to be hurting...and he's stepped up since....Nobody is benefiting from the new BE more than him...

Henton is solid is so many ways out there. Towards the end of the Creighton game, he was challenged by a bluejay along the sideline and was called for a foul. Fair enough but what I saw was the Creighton kid went flying, and it was no flop - it was a mano mano message from LaDontae; nothing flagrant nor nasty, just a message.
Almost the 'forgotten Friar' he has quietly contributed in just about every game, often providing a lift when needed and drawing eye brow raising attention from the opponents thus helping out more closely guarded team mates.
To me, he is our glue guy...

I thought he had glue on his fingertips after some of those rebounds he pulled down against Xavier!

PC generously lists LaDontae Henton at 6'6"; reality is he is much closer to 6'4"; he is a 'big' 6 4" as in solid and tough but still.
That is what I find so cool about his game. His rebounding on both ends and his offensive clearing has improved and is impressive; seems to me he is also playing better overall D - maybe helped by the presence of Harris and or the Cooley 'system' or both?
Would love to hear some observations about his defense as so many here and there have ragged him in the past for lazy play in that area of his game...
