Is that a grim assessment that there will not be ballhandlers next season?
Dunn? Or do you mean others (ballhandlers) in addition to Dunn as pg?
From what I read in the recruiting section, the coaching staff is involved with many recruits. Are there no ballhandlers among them?

We have no returning true ballhandlers and none signed yet for next season. Now, we do have Dunn, who is iffy health-wise and iffy as a ballhandler (under my definition anyway). I say a team needs to have at least FOUR. Add in our usual unexpected, "oh sheet" roster attrition, where we stand now and........color me worried. The staff needs a BIG spring and spring is NOT usually the time for unanswered prayers.

Not sure why they just don't go all in for the St. Anthony's kid. He doesn't have to be a star. He just has to play PG.

good thing you aren't saying this on the other board, rock. they'd eat you for breakfast. Incorrect. Rock pointing out that we need help in the Spring is far different from the dumba$$ stuff that comes out of some people's mouths who have no clue about anything other than their over emotional feelings about our team. Next years team will have an incredibly different dynamic. If Dunn is back, this will be the biggest, longest team since I have watched PC. With the freshmen and Lomonba's, we'll have quality depth except at the PG position. Yes, scoring will be the elephant in the room. But we have had that discussion in many years and every year, somebody steps up so that we can put up 65 ppg. The difference is defense and most people still can't grasp that we win most close games because we get stops in the last 5 minutes. And we almost never got stops in the last 5 minutes in the past. Also, we get zero transition, easy baskets. We don't have the personel to run. Next year's team should get a lot of easy baskets created from being able to force turnovers or just misses into fast break opportunities. The key is Dunn. If he is healthy, happy, and confident, this will not be a bad team. We will compete in just about every game on the schedule. Give me Dunn, Cooley's approach to defense, and development from Harris and CD, and i think we can be solid again.

I am very hopeful going forward but we must remember that next year we will have a young team. The good news is I like this new conference, PC can and should be very competitive going forward.

A lot of young guys, but we'll have some pretty good experience too - Harris, Henton, CD, Fortune, Dunn are all juniors and seniors (except Dunn as a RS soph).

We won't be young next year. Inexperience? Sure. But not young.

...with henton/harris/fortune/CD we could have the most returning starter minutes in the league...
