we are literally back in the Keno era and we should prepare to be embarrassed(like tonight) at least another 7-8x this year

Bob Driscoll needs to do the program a favor and step down, he hires these coaches to WIN, but then he has to put his hands into the action(knowing nothing about basketball) and give the coaches no one to coach

wasn't Driscoll........was Shanley who failed to STAND UP for the team when they needed him most
funny part is sometimes you see him at the games pretending to be a "fan"

Have you ever sat down and talked PC basketball with him or socialized with him? Father Shanley is a very big Friar basketball fan. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

"Pretending to be a fan"? You must mean Fr. Smith and his love of the arts.

The first one isn't even disputable unless you just prefer to live in denial and the second.....well just because he had the ability to fool you about his Friar passion doesn't mean he really gives 2 $hits about the hoops program........bet you one thing......won't see him at The Dunk this week with the phony smile and wave and to answer your question, yes

President Shanley is very much a passionate fan. This past summer, I took the Siff clan to a BoSox game. My daughter and I were wearing Providence College shirts. As we were walking through the concourse, President Shanley gave us an enthusiastic GO FRIARS! President Shanley loves ALL sports.
PS
He also liked our matching ink!
PPS
Was it President Shanley or Former President Smith that tried to expel a female student for having the Friar Logo tatted on her rear end? My daughter's roommate cousin was a student and claimed Providence tried to outlaw females from having tats. I told my daughter it was probably an urban legend. How would The President know a student had the logo tatted where the sun don't shine.
PPPS
I told my daughter to wear long sleeve shirts if she sees The President marching around on campus. If he catches her with her ink displayed, I reminded her to tell President Shanley about our meeting at Fenway.

Father Shanley was pivotally involved in forming the new Big East. And it is the Presidents and not the ADs involved in most or all of the policy setting/legal wrangling regarding League matters on an ongoing basis. Either you are very naive or just like to hear yourself shout. Judging from the number of posts in less than 3 months, I'd say it was the latter (giving you the benefit of the doubt). I will say it again. Father Shanley is a very big Friar basketball fan. If you disagree, then you have lied in telling us you have sat down and talked PC basketball with him. PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS!!!

Is Fr. Shanley a bigger fan of the hoops team or the church/school's values? While i'm sure he probably is a huge hoops fan, I would think his loyalty would be with the church's values when it comes to the two..

Of course he is a bigger fan of the church's/school's values. As he should be. Would you expect less of a Dominican priest who leads our school? And if being a fan means I must forsake those same values, count me out. But that is not the case. I would hope that one doesn't HAVE to forsake values to be a Friar basketball fan. I revert back to Rock's questin: How would the other catholic schools in the conference have handled this situation??
PC seems to not be able to get out of its own way when it comes to hoops.
