situation described as "fluid"
I love the player. athletic, long, can defend. lost on offense. cannot shoot. not a great fit for what KE wants to run. would Dual stay and improve his shooting this offseason? does KE want him to stay? I assumed a vet transfer G was coming anyways, but still room for Dualif he wishes to stay

I saw KMac's tweet, indicating that the situation is "fluid". That tells me that half of Garwey is inclinded to stay, while another part is looking to transfer out. If I had to guess, Dual may appreciate the fact that he needs to continue developing, but doesn't want a cut in his NIL (finite funds that the Collective/Program must allocate judiciously - and may need to direct to incoming transfers capable of making an immediate impact next season)
Understanding that there can be more to this than we realize, it'd seem to make sense that Garway put in the work necessary (regardless of where he ends up) to improve his offensive game. KE's style of play is very much aligned with what Dual would see if he were to eventually play in the NBA. I'd put this in sharp contrast to the style that Ed Cooley has employed through the years.

Isn't this all about shopping for more PT and more $$? Isn't this now a free market for players to seek increases in one or both of these criteria every year?
I've said it before so I know I'm being redundant, but he failed this season and if he leaves he gets to essentially blame PC/English for that. If he stays, he has to eat his performance and bet on himself to improve, not things the 19 year old psyche is normally built for.

It's probably a fair assumption that the Dual bus is being driven by his agent/handlers...

If Dual is shopping for money, then his camp needs to be locked up in an asylum True but why wouldn’t any kid go looking for more NIL money in this day and age. Playing time trumps it all if you're playing the long view. Now, that gets thrown out as soon at one NIL offer is greater by 25%+ (or so) is my guess. But if a kid is netting $100K vs $125K or similar and not considering the actual PT opportunity then he is being penny wise and dollar foolish. I have no idea what the market looks like of course from one offer vs another.

We are not weakened. In fact, I look forward to get a better player (at his position) than Garwey.

he's fine as a 4th guard next year. if he can't see the benefit of working on his game with kim english and using every minute of access possible to the carter family, he should go "get his game back" with mike saunders.

Great point Walk. Anthony Carter is more valuable than anyone close to the program right now.

if Dual is chasing NIL money, good luck. while the upside is clear to see, so is the rawness and poor offensive game, and a shot that needs medical attention. I don't see overwhelming offers with NIL money for him. if he is going to chase a program that is more his style of play, there are numerous better options than PC. players need to shoot well in order to play well here. his "openess" the the NBA draft are laughable.
