Took my 2 daughters to see their 2nd Lady Friars game ever (last was weeks before covid in 2020 so lets hope no repeat there). Today the Friars hosted Marquette.
They jumped out to a 20-2 lead and led about 30-16. Looked like it was in the bag. But then they got sloppy and started letting MQ chip away before giving up the lead with approx 4 or 5 min left. Got it to 2 with 6.7 sec left but turned it over rushing it up court and that was that.
I will say the Coach Erin Batth is very serious and already has the turnaround started I think. I suspect they'll be a top half BE team perennially under her.
Also shout out to the experience. Alumni Hall post renovations is beautiful. Good crowd today, mostly full. Band was loud. The 1 and only concession stand is a little shaky but overall it's a great family experience. The girls saw some kids from school with their basketball team and overall they loved it.

This team plays better from behind to start. They have blown a few big leads in games at home. Turnovers in general have been their biggest issue.
Question will be can she recruit higher level players to PC. She certainly has done quite a bit with what she kept. They are also missing their No. 1 PG which doesn't help.
