Olivia Olsen recorded her first double-double of the season on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Emily Archibald came off the bench with 10pts and 8rbs to lead the Friars past Monmouth 57-40. This is the same Hawk team that beat St. John's earlier this month. Two keys to the win were the Friars holding Monmouth to 25-percent shooting for the game (14-56) while also limiting themselves to a season low 11-turnovers. The Friars now stand at 3-2.
Next up the Friars will travel to University Park, Pa. to face Penn State on Sunday, Nov. 26. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.
