Justifiably dex.
Rattling off those six Big East wins to close out the season had me giddy with optimism after the depths of despair of earlier in the season from the gang who couldn’t score or shoot or win.
I contacted my primary medical provider for fear that I may have become bipolar from enduring this season of despair, to promise only to come to its abrupt demise without the aid of grog. I experimentally have been off the sauce for just short of two years as 50 years of Seeking solace in the bottom of a glass without success seemed long enough.
So with this pandemic my medical provider has me on a tele-visit this afternoon “checking in” inquiring on how I’m doing in isolation and silly me gave an honest answer. Now he wants to prescribe some “mother’s little helper” to lift my mood. Yikes. I’ll be less honest when he checks in again...Or maybe just not answer his phone call...
So stir, not shake that 5 o’clock Martini to get you through this pall lest you fall into despair from which you’ll have to rely on Johnny, yank, ‘82, and the formerly great mod to extricate you from. Don’t look for Skywalkster to lend a hand to pull you out of it as he’s like A bushel of Chesapeake blue claws dragging You down to the bottom of the basket.
Don’t despair. You’ll be violating the social distancing guidelines shortly throwing all caution to the wind in the fine ocean breeze as the summer is nigh.
As one of your favorite politicians used to say to his peeps, “I feel your pain”.
Better yet, as one rocker before your time used to sing, “Rave On”...

Daddy-O I get about 1/3 of your music references and about the same with your literary references. It's like you are speaking in English and I in Greek.
However, I love your beautifully flowing composition and your subtle intimations that awaken my intellect and makes me ponder the true meaning of your thoughts.
Good job Sir

“Stirred Not Shaken” - James Bond “I feel your pain” - William Jefferson Clinton “Rave on” - Buddy Holly
.... For fun: “Rock The Casba”- The Clash .... Don’t mean to be cryptic. I only wish I had a smidgen of your practical wisdom and perspective. Your clear logical thinking and persuasion and your ability to convey it in writing.

I knew Bond
But
I didn't know the great Buddy Holly quote
I am hissed (pizzed)
Buddy's claim to fame for me was:
The true first time String Music was prevalent in Rock 'N Roll
Thanks Daddy-O, you were, are and will forever be aces with Dexter
ps few would be so forgiving and patient with my inability to remember the pronunciation of your daughter's name Dex is like an elephant, he never ever forgets a kindness...or for that matter an injurious word
Blessings Lad
pps I will NEVER EVER in a million years forget your recounting of your youth and the trials of sheer cruelty your Mom endured for her kids... the image never leaves me and in fact haunts me...but those pearly gates must have looked like Heaven to her...and guess what, it was...I am so sorry she and you had to endure that evil, it saddens me greatly

Yes you do:
The Guardian .....
Thanks. Wouldn't have succeeded without her guidance, wisdom and love. She has one son, and a grandson with her now, to look down upon her two infant great-grandsons.
