Holiday can shoot it.....streaky but can fill it up
Marshon just wasn't hitting enough 3's
Guessing Memphis wants shooter off bench
Hopefully Kris can lobby for him to stick around in Chicago but there is a very good chance he gets waived

Often times its about freeing up space under the Salary Cap. Getting rid of a long term contract in exchange for a short term - rental players. This is particularly the case with marginal teams once they recognize that they're not going to make the playoffs...might as well tank, in order to get more Lottery Balls in the hopper on top of Cap Space to sign future Free Agents.

Marshon was killing it from 3 when Memphis brought him in late last year...got him that contract...haven't seen any of their games or results but based on your comment he must have fallen off from hitting those 3s.
Would not be surprised if the move by Chicago was to waive him to free $'s. If not, hope he can find his shooting touch in the windy city.

If I recall correctly his salary is guaranteed this season. For now he sits home and gets paid, I guess.

Bulls lost the game on a deep 3 bank shot by Victor O. over Dunn...

and Ryan's at it again...knocks down 6 3s the other night...now 15 for his last 28 from 3pt land...leading Valpo in scoring and shooting over 43% from deep on the year. Keep it up Ryan.

Good example of a kid who needed time to develop his game. Glad to know things are now clicking in his junior (academically) year

Probably helps that he is not injured

He just got waived.
But I believe if he was traded or another team signs him Chicago is off the hook on his salary (or, if he signs for less than his contract with Chicago, Chicago pays him the difference). Think that is why they wanted to trade him.

I'll never understand this league. So the Bulls have gotten rid of 2 players and a draft pick for cash considerations....
