Thump,
Kalif had a very nice game today. I hope it's the start of much better play from him.

Last team in per Backcourt Joe Relax. It’s too early yet Coach and team need to take one game at a time Win home games and get 2-3 on the road does us good for Selection Sunday Disagree, it’s never too early. This gives us a nice snapshot of where we stand TODAY. I think we’re all aware there’s 12 BE games and 6 weeks of basketball left to be played.

well I had a post ready to go on how our group of Lindsey, diallo, jax and even Rodney allow us to switch on the SFs against X and Butler with Lindsey being the key but that's out....I'd already posted on his cut right before half and will not erase it...

think we need to beat someone other than DePaul/SJ/Gtown on the road unless we can sweep the home games.

BC Joe pls don't flatter yourself...Walk meant Joe Lunardi of espn not a has-been predictor like you. You need a vacation now that another annual pressing of the Soupy is in the cellar. You missed a good game today. I was able to cheer us to the finish line. The biggest hand was for the great Brad Stevens and the PA clown blew the intro timing for Mr Holt who BTW looked great today Was hoping to see where my pal Walk would give some kudos to Lindsey for his work today but alas it is not to be. He was terrific on a day where Isaia and Alpha were off for the most part. Also Kudos to KC who played a terrific game and the vast majority of it too. I think Lindsey is healthy now and he seems to be able to move much better laterally on defense. Also Martin was awful but some of the credit goes to Bullock who guarded him a lot.

DMAC
You got to start to play your best basketball in January and February and go after one game at a time March is for the winning teams and programs and PC needs to win a butch to get their with how the TOP 20 teams are this year They are all good But we can be just as good especially when we play like we did against Xavier
That’s my take. Friartown needs our love

These next 4 games will go a long way to deciding our postseason destination. If we can get through them at 2-2, we will be 6-4 in league and should be well positioned for a tourney run. 5 of our last 8 games are at home (St. John's, DePaul, Georgetown, Nova and The Hall) and we go to Butler, Xavier and Georgetown. If we can go 5-3 over that stretch (seems reasonable), we would be 11-7 in league and that should be more than enough to secure our spot in the field. It all starts with defending our house on Saturday

I think we need 7 more wins. Unless 10-8 gives us a 7 seed and the 7th win is against DePaul. But 10-8 plus a win in the quarters of the BET should be enough. 11-7 probably helps us avoid last 4 in type situation.

Then on Selection Sunday there is no suspense.........................

we currently project at 9-9 with an RPI of 52 so 10-8 probably puts us in the high 40s. With our nonconf sched, I think we need 11 or 2 BET Ws at 10-8 as 1-1 is pretty much a wash.

www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/index.ssf/2018/01/comparing_syracuse_basketballs_ncaa_resume_to_other_bubble_teams.html#incart_m-rpt-1The NCAA will give added weight to quality wins away from home with a new system that accounts for where games are played. The Selection Committee, using the Ratings Percentage Index, will group a team's wins and losses into four Quadrants with each quadrant ranking games based on whether they were played at home, on a neutral court or in a true road environment: Quadrant 1: Home 1-30; Neutral 1-50; Away 1-75 Quadrant 2: Home 31-75; Neutral 51-100; Away 76-135 Quadrant 3: Home 76-160; Neutral 101-200; Away 136-240 Quadrant 4: Home 161-plus; Neutral 201-plus; Away 240-plus Providence Three games ago, Providence was 10-6 overall and 1-2 in the Big East. But the Friars have won three straight, including a big Quadrant 1 win over Xavier (RPI 5). Providence (No. 39 in the RPI) is now 13-6 on the year. The Friars' win over Xavier was their first Quadrant 1 win of the season. Their next-best win came against Butler (No. 33) at home.
