Chambers? What the hell...
Such a confusing game by Cooley tonight.

Unjust a defensive switch for Cartwright Yeah, a bit scary if we actually get the turnover though.

Well, that's a pretty bad loss. Zeke and Q played well. Everyone else sucked, especially Dunn and Cooley.
Hope Ben's ankle is okay.

Trap game indeed....
Bentil's injury a big factor though.

Obviously no Bentil is huge but that rebounding spread is unacceptable...plus Garrett got to hoop against dunn at will...add in the missed freebies by our AA and the loss was avoidable....

No Ben, No Jalen, Not one of Dunn's best efforts, Defense was terrible, no rebounding, yet they still were in the game with a minute to go...
Oh well, get Ben into the pool when he gets back to PC and work that ankle injury. Need everyone for Saturday.

Clearly, there were a lot of factors that could be pointed to for this loss. DePaul had enough mistakes for us to win - if PC hadn't crapped the bed in so many ways.
We were outplayed. Period.

Hey! Give DePaul their due. They came out ready to play and Friars were not. Opened with four empty possession until Bentil hit a jumper for first Friars points.
I'll let Coach Cooley explain his use of time outs. Clearly he wants to keep the flow of the game going thinking Friars will go on a run and stop the ball on defense.
I am no message board Wooden....

Agree with Rock, spacing in zone was terrible. The purpose is to make them beat you from the outside not to allow free driving lanes down the middle for layups.
Memo to Cartwright: If you have to attempt a circus shot, you have probably done something wrong and your circus shots are rarely successful.
On a night that Fazekas seemed to have his range, he was largely ignored. I realize that there is only one ball but he was a better option from outside than anyone else tonight. Without Bentil's scoring inside and Dunn having a bad night, he could have helped.

That was the definition of a team loss...DePaul looked like they had a nice game plan and our staff had a lousy night...guard play, both offensively and defensively, killed us....the loss of Bentil shocked this team, as there was no option down low and his picks for KD are always far better than what I saw the others attempt last night...
Also:
- WebMD time....I am very worried about Bentil's injury. It looked much worse to me than his injury earlier in the season. Saturday could be interesting, even ugly, should both Bentil and Ochefu miss the game.
- Is anybody else a little sick of KD's drama after contact? His "injuries" seem a bit high schoolish to me...his waffling from possum-mode to warrior-mode is getting under my skin. Dude, you missed a layup and there was contact. Get up and get back. Enough with the limping and grimacing, both of which are usually followed by a highlight reel steal and breakaway slam.
- As I was watching last night's poor effort, two words kept popping into my head................Bob Simon.........we got out-coached before and during the game and, personally, I missed his nervous energy on the bench last night.
- I saw some nice things from Q and Fazekas last night...Fazekas could be a star in time...we should schedule games for Thursday evenings, as this kid has "throw-back" written all over him.
- Bullock's progress on the offensive end seems to have stalled...I love his effort on the boards, however. I wonder if the loss of Paschal is rearing its ugly head here, since Bullock is more dangerous when his offense starts from the outside...with the need for him down low, we may be missing his playmaking ability.
- Early call here is for another loss at home on Saturday...PC will become "Panic City" if the Friars slip to the middle of the standings. Hopefully, Bentil's ankle will be serviceable and the Friars can will themselves to a W.

One additional positive note: Cartright's decision making can be frustrating but he's having a nice year...a late pickup from the west coast, he has become a huge part of this team. I love his energy and stamina. This staff does tremendous things with their guards.

McNamara terms it a sprain. Painful to watch him trying to perform afterwards. What a nightmare...

Below was posted on the Georgetown board before we played them: "*Dunn appears to take more punishment than he actually gets and has been doing it his entire career and before he ended up at Providence. I'm not taking anything away from him, best player in the league should be an outstanding pro, just overplays the i'm suffering from all this physicall contact a little too much for me."
