So leaving aside the exhibition against a professional team next Sunday, the Friars play 3 teams currently ranked by Parrish...Nova, Hoyas and Cane's
Brey was pretty hissed leaving the court yesterday...guess he figured to be ranked with a win
They have a likely ncaa team...they will do ok in the acc if they just keep Auguste out of foul trouble

My day is made. To be ranked (albeit #26) AND above UConn is a rush.

It's been 11 years....
I may be wrong, but it might be the 1st time we have started 5-0 since '88-'89 when we were 13-0, to start.

Agree on the 11 years thing, lets enjoy it, even though we all know the polls don't mean much this early, at least we get a taste finally. We started 6-0 last year before losing in the Paradise Jam final to Maryland without Kris Dunn.

Fun and wonderful but everybody needs to take a deep breath here. We are what? 5-6 games into this gambol? All due respect, why do we need to take a deep breath? If we derail our own enthusiasm and the projections they accompany we should, what, just go back to work and wait for a bad game so we can snitch? (I know that's not entirely what you're saying, of course). Players have to stay measured, coaches need to control emotions surrounding great wins and bad losses but we are FANS, we don't have to do that. I'll soak up every great review of the Friars and every inch of poll acknowledgement and meditate on it like I was a kid on Christmas Eve. I mean, we've all seen enough in ONE game, never mind in five, to conclude that we suck, will lose every game in the BE and end up in the Patriot League in two years so why can't that same sample size be used for positive views? Frankly, I still think we're underrated. I will say however, that I worry about Yale as a trap game sitting smack dab in the middle of huge games. Hey, I said I was euphoric, not amnesiac.

I think we have every right to be excited about being ranked. It's been years and I don't think anyone expected us to be at this point this soon. Not many expected us to sweep this weekends games let alone be ranked. I say enjoy it!

I love this friggin thought....why not? we are all kids when it comes to sports...I neither have to make payroll like Driscoll, Recruit like Cooley, or think of who to replace the LOUD DJ at the games with like Nap. Afterall...the season was pretty much over after the Albany squeaker

Well said Rock. I am indeed soaking it all in and loving it.I realize that where we are in March is more important than where we are at Thanksgiving---but it is often what happens in November that provides the visibility and pub that vault a club into the national spotlight. We all know that if PC were 3-2 right now people would be jumping off bridges and bemoaning that the rest of the season was hopeless [or something like that]!
Yale is not a gimmee. The Staff [which is high quality] and the players are the ones who have to keep a level head and play hard and smart at all times to avoid a Brown Stain type of performance.I do not think they will take the New Haven 5 lightly .So long as they do not overindulge on Thursday---they should be okay. It feels good after 11 years to see PC in the top 25 .I am loving it. One more thing--the man I first worked with out of law school---and who mentored me--is a Dookie. He is 80 years old, lives in the Philly suburbs and has had one season ticket to Duke hoops for years.HE GOES TO ABOUT TEN GAMES A YEAR.He spoke with me today to congratulate me on the Friars successful weekend.I was about to say it, but he beat me to it===="PC is in first place in the ACC as we sit here today!!!" Think about that.
Enjoy it folks. The Lord knows we suffer when things do not go perfectly.
